I loved it! If you’re looking for a place to relax, and enjoy nature this is the perfect place for you.
We loved Cardinal Cabin. The screened porch was lovely. The owners sent us a care package while we were there - so kind. It was cool even with just the AC in the living room. Fully equipped with everything you would need.
Loved it. The property laced WiFi or TV, but in the end….that turned into a positive!

Danielle,
Thanks for being such pleasant guests and glad you all had such a wonderful time at Cardinal Cabin! Hope you will come back sometime! Thank you!
My family spent three nights at this great cabin. It was extremly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The screened in porch turned out to be were we spend most of out time, and with the ceiling fans, it was always cool. Perfect place for a quiet getaway. The owner was also great and very communicative. We hope to return next year!

Hope you will come back! Happy to hear you enjoyed the cabin and location so much. (We love it there) Hope you do come back!
Overall stay was great. Perfect distance from town. The only real complaint was the smell of the water, especially in the shower. Some updated movies and CD's would be nice since there is no internet or cable TV.

Hi Kevin.
Yes, the water table so high in the County with the recent storms. We are looking to get an aerator to help.
Glad you enjoyed overall!
About the host
Hosted by GAYLYNN ABRAM
We moved to the NoVA area in 1996. Loving the outdoors, and peacefulness, Gaylynn saw the vision of Cardinal Cabin as our family retreat. Many family weekends were spent recreating and relaxing with our children and friends!
Why they chose this property
Having the opportunity for hiking the Shenandoahs--it's dense cover and blue hue gently etches on your mind. And lazy days on the river or sitting in the screen porch rejuvenates the soul. Fall colors were not to be missed! This Cabin had the perfect location for both hiking and river fun, as well as quiet and cozy to enjoy in all seasons.
What makes this property unique
We loved the property not only for its' mountain and river benefits but the fact that it was only 90 minutes from Northern Virginia and easily within reach for weekend retreating. The over-size screened in porch beckoned lazy afternoons and evenings... Foilage full of Fall colors... Cozy winters... The Town of Luray is truly something special! Folks are amazing, friendly, laid back, and helpful. The Town is fun to explore: Hawksbill a lovely, leisurely walk or bike ride into Town. We love Lurays' hometown May celebrations and 4th of July fireworks!!
