Stay at Joan’s Place! Charming, updated 2-bedroom house in Mac Groveland
Welcome to Joan’s! This welcoming house in Saint Paul is the ideal spot for guests looking for a comfortable stay. With a completely updated bathroom, including a towel warmer, and 2 cozy bedrooms, featuring a queen bed in one room and 2 full beds in the “kids’” room, this property is perfect for a small group or family. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like radiator heating, AC (mini splits), WiFi (including Hulu live, Disney +, and Netflix), a coffee bar, snacks, and a full kitchen with new appliances.
This house is conveniently located within walking distance to Macalester College, and a short trip to St. Kate’s and St. Thomas - perfect for visiting your student, and is also in the heart of the Mac Groveland neighborhood in case you need some overflow space for friends or family.
If you’re just visiting St. Paul, Joan’s Place is located near restaurants and coffee shops, parks, playgrounds, swimming pools, grocery stores, and a short walk to the A Line bus stop that will take you to a Loons game or the State Fair.
A few things to note:
- No dishwasher (I know - this can be a bummer)
- No pets
- No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property
- No access to the backyard
- No garage: street parking is free. We just ask you to be courteous to the neighbors and park in front of the house if possible.
Upgrades coming before 7/15:
- Blackout blinds in the bedrooms
- Functional radiator covers
- Additional seating in dining room
- Hopefully some art and decorations!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Try to wash most of your dishes before you go, but if there are some breakfast dishes you don’t have time to get to, that’s ok. Just leave them in the sink.
Please place all used towels in the bathroom.
Do not make the beds. I will take care of stripping and cleaning them.
Take out the trash and recycling. Outdoor containers are just outside the side door.
Turn off the lights and mini splits.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
