We had a wonderful week in Solana Beach!! The home was perfect for two people (and our pup!), it was walking distance to everything we love; restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, the beach. The sunsets from the deck were beautiful, with a good view of the ocean. The home was equipped with everything we needed. We cooked in a couple nights, and the kitchen amenities were great, including spices/olive oil/coffee pods/tea, etc. (which many places do not provide). Jonathan was very communicative and welcoming throughout the whole process of renting. We will definitely be back!!

Jonathan (owner) was wonderful to work with and had about everything you might need for your trip from fully stocked kitchen and bathroom to smart TVs in living room/bedroom. We liked the location in proximity to Cardiff State Beach and Del Mar North Beach. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked, but was lacking a sponge to clean dishes. The parking is designed only for small compact cars, but we fortunately gained agreement with the other tenant to park parallel to the street instead of in the perpendicular stall which would have had both cars protruding into the street.

Very cute place, well designed, immaculately clean, and terrific location. The ocean view from the bedroom and balcony was quite a treat! You really feel like you're on vacation, overlooking all the palm trees and the ocean itself. And with the doors and windows open, there's a wonderful cross-breeze, so the place stays nice and cool. The only caveats: 1) If you're bringing your pooch, the upper unit (this listing) isn't supposed to have access to the yards below for doggies to do their business. There's a little park area across the street - but it's dirt, not grass. So just be aware if your pup needs a grassy area. 2) And, it's a remodeled attic with slanted ceilings, so if you're tall, this may not work for you. If these aren't issues for you, then don't hesitate. Very responsive host, and easy check-in and out. Had a great stay.

Just to clarify for future guests with pups: since this is the upper unit, the outdoor spaces belong to the other unit on the lower level and aren’t accessible for dogs. The listing doesn’t advertise a grassy yard for this unit, and most guests with dogs (and even our neighbors) take their pups just a couple of blocks away to the grassy areas, which works out well. I really appreciate your thoughtful feedback and am so happy you had a great stay. You’re welcome back anytime!
