Meet Your Hosts: Brian + Jay
Hi! We’re Brian and Jay—husbands, dog dads, and longtime lovers of Provincetown. We live in the Castro, San Francisco, but part of our hearts are always in Ptown. In fact, it’s where we first met during a stormy Spooky Bear weekend, and where we recently got married at the monument in a celebration we called Provincetown Magic.
Jay is a designer and brand strategist who’s worked on everything from the Harvard Law School rebrand to creative campaigns for climate, health, and LGBTQ+ organizations. He also led the rebrand of the Provincetown Business Guild and created the town’s Welltown tourism campaign—a project especially close to our hearts.
Brian works in biotech, leading external affairs at Genentech, and serves as Finance Chair on the board of the LGBTQ+ Victory Institute. He’s a passionate advocate for representation in government, helping elect LGBTQ+ leaders at all levels of office—because continually, our community deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.
We're both deeply committed to community, equity, and creating joyful, welcoming spaces.
When we found our little place in Provincetown, we knew it was something special—a peaceful, historic gem just steps from the best of town. We’re excited to share it with guests who want to experience all that Provincetown has to offer, whether it’s your first visit or your 50th.
We hope you feel at home here. If there's anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable—or magical—just let us know.

Why they chose this property
Of course, the location is ideal—walkable to the beach, town, and our favorite cafés, galleries, and shops. But despite the obvious, what truly spoke to us is the rich artistic legacy threaded through Pearl Street itself.
This quiet stretch of Provincetown has long been a creative hub. Just up the road is the former site of Charles Hawthorne’s Cape Cod School of Art, a pioneering force in American plein air painting that helped establish Provincetown as an artist’s colony. Just down the block is the Fine Arts Work Center (FAWC), a nonprofit supporting emerging writers and visual artists since 1968. The creative energy here is alive—you’re surrounded by working artists, poets, and those who come to Provincetown to make something meaningful.
For us, this neighborhood is more than just beautiful—it’s quietly vibrant. A place where art, identity, and history intersect. As creative beings ourselves, it felt like the perfect place to land. To belong. To share.

What makes this property unique
There are plenty of beautiful places to stay in Provincetown—but ours has a sense of character and care that’s hard to come by.
Set in an 1850s Victorian-era Cape Cod home, the space blends historic charm with modern comfort. You’ll notice original details throughout—from the handcrafted brass doorbell that’s been ringing for over 170 years, to the French doors that open into the bedroom. These period touches are paired with thoughtful updates: a fully renovated kitchen and bath, AC throughout the house, new furnishings, and all the modern essentials.
But what makes it truly special is the personal history we’ve layered in. This isn’t just a vacation rental—it’s where we began our life as a married couple. You’ll find pieces of that celebration throughout the space, from the mirror we used in our ceremony to the glowing “Seaside Disco” sign that lit up the dance floor. Every detail was chosen to make it feel welcoming, joyful, and quietly elevated.
It’s a home that holds stories—and we hope it becomes part of yours, too.
