OBX Treehouse on the Dunes with Sunrise & Sunset views over Ocean & Sound!

Our cozy oceanfront “treehouse” is a charming round home steps from one of the nicest beaches in the Outer Banks and a short walk, bike ride or drive to everything you need such as restaurants, grocery/liquor stores, wide variety of family and night life activities, fishing/tackle shops, ice cream shops, spa, gym, fitness classes such as yoga on the beach, the pier, live music, and much more. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a queen in the master and a bunk bed with a full on the bottom and a single on the top in the guest room. We also have high speed internet/WiFi, a 55” 4K smart tv, “double thick” queen air mattress that you can set up in the living room, outdoor furniture etc. It is technically considered a “semi-oceanfront” because there’s a lot in between my property and the dune, but there’s no house on the lot making it a protected oceanfront which is one of the primary reasons we fell in love with this super charming and unique cozy cottage that feels like a tree house behind the dunes. Great spot!

This was a great property in a great location. My wife and I had a nice short vacation here. The pictures need to be updated as it now has a deck so you can see over the dunes, very nice view. We will return.

Great View

The cottage has great potential and the owner is apparently making updates and improvements. There is a great third level deck with views of the dunes and ocean that I don't think is mentioned in the description. Overall we enjoyed the stay. The lower level half bath and additional outside shower are a plus.

Jake and Brittany’s beach cottage/tree house makes for one of our favorite times in Avon to date..

The house is right on the beach - as there is an empty lot between it and the ocean. Perfectly situated off to itself - great views of full moon as we arrived. Host Jacob took a late night call when we ran into difficulty and was more than gracious. Pet friendly and immaculately clean! Great location, safe neighborhood- lovely neighbors. My husband and I agree it was our best vacation in a long time. Will definitely be back and recommend “the treehouse” to all! 5 out of 5 stars because we couldn’t use a6 rating!

Best 60th birthday ever!

This treehouse in the dunes ROCKS ! The herd of 5 deer that greeted us each morning shortly after sunrise was icing on the cake! Weather perfect, water perfect, food perfect. Only issue was it was not long enough. Jacob was a wonderful host, and checked on us prior to departure to make sure all was lovely (and it was!)== I will be looking at my next vacation there very soon!

I chose this property because it is only steps to one of the nicest beaches in the outer banks and arguably the entire east coast as well as walking distance to a wide variety of great restaurants, activities and shops.

What makes this property unique

You will fall in love with the beach and sunrise off the deck/dunes, as well as the sunset on the sound side which is a short walk or drive to other side of island. You will also love the local restaurants and shops and if you happen to get a rare rainy day we also have 55" 4K Smart TV with cable, HBO, Showtime, and several other premium channels.
