Laid back & relaxed, very conducive to hanging out and enjoying all the fun things to do in Mission Canyon. And just a short drive to downtown and the beach. Super nice hosts. Looking forward to staying there again!

Perfect location for my wife and me to escape for the weekend in Santa Barbara. We were able to hike, visit the Botanical Garden, e-bike around the beaches, and enjoy State Street. Would highly recommend this location if you like getting out and seeing all that Santa Barbara has to offer.

Host was responsive and kind. Great location near the botanical gardens. However the place was not very clean (dust, dead ants all around baseboards, rusty grill, outdoor furniture was dirty had cobwebs and not cleaned off, and cobwebs were in the oven). The place had an ant infestation that substantially worsened on our last night. It seemed like the host may have used a cleaning service, that did only a brief surface level clean. We did not spend much time in the cabin so it didn’t bother us too much except on the last night. Knocking down the stars here because we paid a premium over the Labor Day holiday and frankly we did not get our moneys worth.

Thanks again for staying with us. The guest brings up a couple of good points which we are addressing, particularly the grill Which seems past its use life. However, three stars seems very harsh in regards to the ant issue. When it gets as hot and dry as it is they can come out of nowhere, particularly in a more rural setting, and then takes some time to get rid of. As well, the guest said nothing to us during their stay—we would have jumped on it given the opportunity. So, I understand a reduced review, but three stars seems harsh.
