Host was very responsive when I had questions about additional amenities that may be offered, i.e. a Keurig and coffee was supplied and there were two tv's in the home, check-in process, and key location. He gave us his number for ease of communication. We let him know we'd be late arriving, and he checked in with us the next morning to be sure we got in OK. Bed was very comfortable and clean, plenty of clean/new towels, washcloths, and blankets were provided, microwave and fridge were clean, heat was adjustable to suit our preference, and parking was right beside the home for ease of unloading. A mat inside the door is needed to catch debris since it's located in a rustic setting. There was a fire pit on the property with wood available for a campfire. If you want to go hunting on private property, ask the host for details!
A nut so fabulous tiny home. The property owner was not responsive. The home was left unlocked upon entering. It was filthy, covered with mildew mold and dirty linens throughout. Almost as if someone had been squatting in the home, which also led us to believe that the home was not actually supposed to be listed on VRBO. Vrbo has yet to refund us for our stay says the owner must initiate the refund yet. They cannot get in contact with this individual. If I could give zero stars, I would this was absolutely the most horrendous experience. I have never had such a poor experience before with any property owner or VRBO. The option to provide zero stars should be provided because one star is too much for this location. Additionally, there was zero power on when we arrived so not even sure how we could’ve stayed if we even wanted to and yet still I am being neglected on receiving a refund. Avoid this important situation save your money rent from someone else or better yet rent a room at the 1927 Lake lure Inn because they were the day savers of the weekend.
