About the host
Hosted by Christopher Issendorf
I'm an ultra-marathon canoe racer who competes in the AuSable Canoe Marathon every year — it’s a family tradition we all take part in and look forward to. Outside of racing, I love hiking, fishing, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Whether it's a trail, river, or lake, you'll usually find me out enjoying nature.
Why they chose this property
I chose this house because it’s incredibly special to me — it’s the very first house on the AuSable Canoe Marathon racecourse. As someone who races it every year with my family, that connection to the river and the event means a lot. It’s the perfect spot to be part of the race's history and energy.
What makes this property unique
This house is the best of both worlds. You’re right on the river with a large, open yard perfect for relaxing or taking in the view — but you’re also just steps from downtown. Whether you want to paddle, unwind by the water, or walk to a local restaurant or shop, everything is within easy reach.
