Wonderful stay!
We stayed for more than 2 months in this apartment. It has 2 spacious bedrooms, a good sized kitchen that is well stocked with dishes, pans, and even spices. The sitting room is nice, with an adjacent 'work space' with a desk, and outdoor access with small patio. The bathroom is clean and very functional with nice towels! There is access to an excellent washer and dryer. There is Wifi and good TV programs notably Netflix access.
The owners are very approachable, helpful and available.
The location is really without compare. In a quiet residential neighborhood that is only 4 blocks from a great selection of restaurants, coffee places, pubs, and shopping. Great bus service that makes access to downtown, Stanley Park, or UBC easy. And, the stretch of Kitsilano beaches are not far either.
Highly recommended for short or longer stays in the west part of Vancouver.

Great location close to lots of shops and restaurants. The suite was very clean and had ample amenities for cooking. We did find the scent from air fresheners and strong laundry detergent overwhelming. If someone had scent sensitivities or allergies this would not be a suitable place to stay. Also the heating pipes in one of the bedrooms was very loud throughout the night (even with ear plugs) and so if only one bedroom is needed and it’s winter time would advise sleeping in the bedroom off the kitchen.
The “Brick house” was exactly as described in their advertisement. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, with ample parking. Great location, walking distance to many shops, grocery stores, restaurants, pubs, etc. It is handy to the beach, downtown and public transportation so we didn’t feel a need to rent a car.
The kitchen was well equipped to make meals but none of the basic condiments to make even a sandwich. The carving knives were dull and there was no bread knife. The suite was clean and tidy although a bit outdated. The linens were clean and fresh although there was a discrepancy in how many of each we started and ended with. Some of the electrical switches were a bit hard to locate and the pipes were noisy at times. There were ample ceiling fans which mitigated some of the heat that we were unable to control. The baseboard heaters seemed warm most of the time, the thermostat was locked at 24C, and the unnecessary heat cut in during the night. While the windows and patio doors provided a lot of natural lighting we would have liked more privacy. We enjoyed our stay in Vancouver and would consider renting in that neighborhood again.
Highly reccomend. Great accommodation and ideal location for exploring Vancouver.
The owner and property manager were very helpful and very friendly. We had a great time. Our family had a lovely stay at the property. It was very clean, the beds very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. A short walk to several cafes/restaurants and an easy and quick bus ride to most places in Vancouver. The local Parthenon Supermarket/Deli and cafe is really worth a visit. We would stay again.
Great location close to shops and restaurants. We hired bikes to get around which was great as you stopped at your own leisure and very handy to the beach
Convenient and private 2 bedroom property with parking on street easily available; surrounding a bit dated but comfortable...really appreciated the ceiling fans in every area( the base heaters seemed to always be warm even with thermostat adjusted; great shower, bedding and towels; dehumidifier in kitchen was a bit noisy; walking distance to restaurants; chain on toilet sometimes caught and kept ‘running’ until manually released; normal traffic upstairs when staying in lower level apartment
Great for a 3 people, that are strong enough to carry luggage and not roll it. It does have stairs which were fine for us but not for the elderly. Manager was responsive and returned answers and help for inquiries.
Spacious, clean and surprisingly bright basement suite. Super convenient location for UBC, beaches and sushi.

Great place, close to UBC
This was a great house. Easy check in and good communication with host. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Everything you need for basic meal prep but nothing fancy. The space is very private with its own entrance and patio out back. The house is walking distance to lots of great restaurants, a couple of miles to Pacific Spirit Park with tons of hiking trails, and a 5-10 min drive to the Beach and to UBC depending on traffic. We would definitely stay here again!

Very clean, convenient location, lovely neighbourhood
We stayed 2 nights during a trip to Vancouver for appointments at VGH. Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Location was very convenient for waliking to local restaurants and shops on West 8th. Parking on the strret infront of the house was no problem. We did hear some noise from the family upstairs but to be expected as you are in the basement of a family home. Only minor negative was the bed in the back bedroom which we used was a little soft and could be updated. We would definately stay again.

Great location in quiet residential neighbourhood
Classic West Vancouver basement flat with access to small south facing garden terrace. Roomy, very clean, comfortable and well equipped. A little dated in terms of decor with blankets on the beds rather than duvets but this is a minor point. We stayed for 2 weeks and had no issues. Very quiet residential area 4 blocks from Broadway with cafes, restaurants and shops and 30 minute bus ride to downtown. 10 minutes to UBC.

Beautiful property in excellent location
This property is very clean and well maintained. It was very spacious for our family of three with very comfortable beds and excellent kitchen facilities. The property is in a very convenient location away from the downtown hustle and bustle but easy to access by frequent bus services. The owners were quick to answer requests and helpful in providing information. We would hope to be able to return one day.

Quaint and comfy!
We enjoyed our stay at The Brick House. It was very clean when we arrived, always a good sign. It was perfect place to stay while visiting our daughter who attends UBC. It was close to stores and restaurants in a lovely neighborhood.
