Lovely home with comfortable beds and ample space for everyone to either gather or take a personal break. The location is close to Garden of the Gods or take a quick ferry ride to Marion, KY. The actual Cave in town is well worth seeing a swell. The home was clean and well stocked, in a quiet location and everything worked fine. We didn't have many reasons to contact the owner but communications at check-in and check-out were quick and friendly. All in a all, a great place to stay.

Great gem!

Beautiful home with lovely accents and unique furnishings! Well stocked kitchen too. Super close drive to Cave In Rock state park, and only about 30 minutes to Garden of the Gods. Some very cool/unique homes nearby so it was fun walking around the neighborhood & checking it out. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home on the Ohio River

This house exceeded my expectations. From the amazing decor to the relaxing porch overlooking the river this was definitely a 10/10. A short drive to the Garden of the Gods made this a perfect base for hiking in the eastern Shawnee.

Great place to stay

This completely furnished Ohio river view bungalow was a pleasure to stay in. This house had everything you could need for a visit. Everything in the house was comfortable. The host was very accommodating and provided information on everything in the area. We brought our motorcycles and found plenty of back roads to cruise on. There is a lot of history in the area.

Perfect for us

Our goal was to do some early spring birding. We had easy access to Cave-in-Rock SP where we successfully logged 40 species. It was fun to take the ferry across the river and drive to Land Between the Lakes: 54 species there. The house was charming, super clean and well equipped. As you can see from all the stars. We highly recommend!

Very Welcoming

We booked to come down for a family event and couldn’t have asked for a better place. With very few options in the area, this home exceeded our expectations. Due to being in the area for a family funeral, the host did allow us to have our family over. It was so nice to have such a lovely, cozy, place that our family could gather to just be together. Everything was exceptionally clean. We would definitely book it again and plan to come back the next time we need to be in the area.

So clean and comfortable! The decor is so charming, everywhere you look is something interesting and beautiful. We loved how close it was for hiking cave in the rock and garden of the gods. We would come back in the evening and enjoy sitting on the porch, sipping our wine and watching the butterflies on the garden flowers. We brought our own food and drinks. Everything you would ever need to cook is in the kitchen. The fridge had filtered water in it. The towels and bedding were top notch. Worked perfect for our hiking then relax weekend. Highly recommend.

Good, with one major flaw

Our experience overall was good. The property is well-maintained, kitchen has all the amenities for a short or long stay. The interior is beautiful, and on the surface, very clean. The outdoor firepit was a lovely addition, and a great place to enjoy birdwatching. Water pressure was good and the beds were ok. One key/major thing marred the trip--a very STRONG smell of mildew that was overwhelming and was throughout the home.Upon our arrival, we immediately opened all the windows and started up all the fans. My wife started having some allergic issues, and opening everything helped although it did take nearly a day for the smell to diminish. We opted for outdoor activities to minimize our time breathing the inside air. Because the weather later in our stay was predicted to be over 90, we opted to check out a day early rather than close all the windows and turn on the A/C for fear the odor would return.We did not see any visible mold anywhere, but the smell was ever-present and strong. Upon return to our own home, we noticed our nightclothes had also picked up the musty odor (apparently from the sheets).We have stayed in riverfront properties before, and have never encountered this. Again--overall the house is lovely, but especially for those with sensitive lungs, this issue needs to be corrected.

Beautiful tranquil retreat

This is a quiet, very well appointed house in a nice neighborhood, walking distance to the river, a playground, and 5min from Cave-in-Rock State Park. It was very clean and nicely decorated with all the amenities you might need. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Quiet property and a nice view of the Ohio River. The house was immaculate and had everything you needed. The interior design and attention to detail with antiques was awesome. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. Had no contact with the property manager but had no need to. Will definitely stay here again! Five stars all around!!

Small town charm with an amazing view

Property is perfect for unwinding and slowing down the pace. The owners and neighbors were so welcoming and helpful. If you are into birding, this place is for you. I never wanted to leave the front porch. Even got to see an eagle. Property is so beautiful and decorated with such character. We will be back.
