Hot Tub Rules — Relax & Recharge the Right Way
We want you to soak up every second of your stay — and that starts with keeping our hot tub sparkling and safe! Please follow these easy guidelines:
- Keep It Cozy: Leave the temp set to 100°F when not in use to keep it perfectly balanced.
- Cover It Up: Always close the lid after soaking to keep the water clean and warm.
- Quick Rinse First: A fast shower = fresh, happy water for everyone!
- Keep It Simple: No food, alcohol spills, excessive lotions, bubble baths, pets, or anything funky in the water.
- Be Kind to the Cover: Hang it on the rack, not on the ground, to keep it clean and damage-free.
- Heads Up: Major cleanup (like drain & refill) from misuse = $300 fee.
- Power Down: Turn off the jets and re-cover when you're done relaxing.
- No Glass, Please: Stick to safe cups — broken glass is a no-go near the spa.
- Safety Zone: No running, jumping, or wild moves around the hot tub — kiddos must be supervised!
- Towel Off: Dry before heading inside to keep the floors cozy and slip-free.
- Be Safe: Watch your step and look out for each other around the hot tub area.
Enjoy the bubbles, the stars, and the pure mountain magic!
Thanks for helping us keep Hummingbird Crossing a 5-star experience!

About the host
Your host
We’re Krysta & Tom—a husband-and-wife duo who turned our love for cozy spaces and meaningful hospitality into a thriving short-term rental business. What started as a dream to create our own West Virginia mountain escape has become our mission: helping fellow hosts and guests enjoy unforgettable stays. Whether you’re here to relax or explore the mountains, we’re excited to welcome you and share all the little details that make this place special!
Why they chose this property
Lost River is special because it still feels undiscovered. It’s a quiet mountain valley where life slows down, the nights are truly dark, and nature is the main attraction. Guests come here to unplug—whether that means hiking and exploring nearby trails, visiting small local spots, or simply sitting outside with a book and listening to the wind in the trees.
What makes this property unique
What makes our property unique is the intentional blend of privacy, comfort, and connection to nature. This home was designed as a true retreat—quiet, thoughtfully furnished, and set in a peaceful natural setting—so guests can fully unwind without distractions. From cozy indoor spaces to outdoor areas made for relaxing and stargazing, every detail supports a calm, restorative stay rather than a typical vacation rental experience.
