Welcoming beach house with an outdoor hot tub & fire pit - 1 Block to the beach

Centrally located near Restaurants, Shopping, the Beach, and other fun spots. Short walk to The Kill Devil Grill restaurant for dinner and/or drinks.

Enjoy the great outdoor space- lounging out on the back deck, , grilling up delicious meals or sipping drinks and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit.

Bright sun filled kitchen includes everything you might need to cook up great meals and entertain. The main level has 4 bedrooms with 1.5 Baths, living room, kitchen and dining area. Three of the bedrooms have a queen size bed and the 4th has two twin beds. This home has been tastefully remodeled and has cathedral ceilings and a spacious great room.

On the ground level, underneath the house there is an outdoor shower great for rinsing off after a day at the beach!

We supply most everything you should need for fun filled beach days (towels, coolers, beach umbrellas, beach toys, etc). So come enjoy a great beach vacation.

We allows pets with a $100 non-refundable pet fee
Pets are not allowed on furniture or on the beds. Also pets must be crated when left alone at the property.

Perfect little getaway

My family and I had a great long weekend stay. The fenced in backyard is a game changer when traveling with dogs. Hot tub was amazing on the cold evenings. House was clean, host was super nice.

Lovely beach cottage

Stayed here for a week in early summer with my husband, son and my brother’s family. The house was well located and close to the beach. A short walk. Everything was great!

This was the most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. Host was super friendly and responsive. I had a few questions after our stay and they answered those also. House was actually roomier than the pictures show. And it was super clean.

OBX Thanksgiving

We have been visiting the OBX for many years. It’s our home away from home. Our stay was wonderful. Our host was good with answering any questions and was prompt. Loved the fence in yard for pets. Hot tub was great. Nice home for our family of 5 . Would stay again.

Excellent location

Perfect little beach house! The location was beyond perfect - you can walk to multiple yummy restaurants, ice cream, and an awesome brewery. It is only a 5 minute walk to the beach too. The check-process was smooth, communication easy, and we were allowed to check in a little early. The only negatives were the place was not very clean and the outside area is not super comfy. But I still recommend this house, mainly due to the ideal location and very dog friendly!

Great Stay

We stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed our time. We were able to bring our dogs and enjoyed the backyard and decking area. The hot tub was also a plus as our visit was over a cool fall weekend. Shane was awesome to work with. I messed up my reservation email and he worked with me to get access to the house and resolve the issues. He was so very patient and understanding! We loved how close the house was to Mama Kwans and Kill Devil Grill too.

Great for a weekend getaway with pets!

We had a great stay for a long weekend. The house is located on the beach side of the highway which made for a super easy walk to the ocean, less than five minutes from door to sand. We really enjoyed the fenced in backyard and the fact that we were able to bring not one but both of our pups with us. The house itself is great for a small getaway, with four bedrooms there’s ample sleeping area but things may get tight with only one full bath. Check in was super easy and the host was very responsive. The house is located not far from almost everything you could need a the neighborhood is pretty quiet. Just at the end of the road is a super cute little brewery. While the house is obviously not brand new there is some wear and tear but nothing that takes away from your stay or has you looking for back ups. Would recommend especially if you have dogs!

This was a nice place. The cleaning needs improvement. There was a lot of dog hair on the furniture. Broken shelves were left in the refrigerator. We were only given 1 washcloth per person so take extras, the washer was broken, and smelled of mildew because the door was closed, so that was a bummer and we had to go buy washcloths. The housekeeper should make sure the door is open so it can dry out to avoid that. We didn’t use the hot tub on our short stay so I can’t comment on that. There is a nice picnic area under the house, and a great backyard fire pit. We didn’t use these on our short stay, but they are great amenities for those staying a week or more. It is close to the beach, but the uphill walk through the sand to get there was treacherous for me as I have COPD. It would have been nicer for there to be a wooden walkway to the beach. Not the owners problem, I am just mentioning it. The owner communicated well, however, my last 2 emails to him were not acknowledged. I like to be helpful on my stays and save the housekeeper work by communicating about beds and items not used (hot tub). Shane did not acknowledge getting my final email communicating that to him so he could pass it on to the housekeeper. I would stay again, but I would take my own washcloths. I bought some dishcloths and left them behind. I wash dishes by hand a lot and there was only a sponge for doing dishes. I like to be transparent when I let reviews, so this is in no way being negative.

Great vacation home with everything we needed

We really enjoyed our stay at this beach rental. The house is very comfortable and nicely furnished, including a well stocked kitchen. Everything we needed for our beach vacation was provided and the location is excellent. It really is a very short walk to the beach. The house was very clean--you wouldn't have known that is a dog friendly house, which is quite important for those of us with allergies. We were happy to be able to bring our (less allergenic) dog for his first beach visit. The owners are very responsive; I appreciated the ease of communication and the attention they give to making sure all goes smoothly. Amongst all the "pros" my only "con" is that mattresses aren't the best. They aren't terrible, but anyone with back problems may have trouble. That said, the overall experience was excellent and I definitely recommend this house. For any vegan visitors, check out Southside Taco and Catering for an extensive vegan selection along with their regular menu.
