We arrived to our VRBO on a Sunday. There was trash scattered in the front yard, but we did not think much of it. We were able to get in the front door and upstairs. The interior bottom door had an electronic locking mechanism; the second interior door at the top of the stairs had a deadbolt, but the door was damaged. There was a secondary side door, which we attempted to use so we could unload our car from the driveway. We immediately noticed the hallway was unkept and the door to the lower apartment was left ajar. That apartment was trashed. The lower exterior door was damaged and unusable. There were also random damaged spots throughout the apartment. At this point, we felt unsafe and reached out to the host. Unfortunately, the "host" is some sort of hosting company and they simply offered repair services. We were able to lock doors to our apartment, so we felt okay to stay for the night. On Monday, we realized the kitchen was not properly stocked and the oven was not working. Minor, but the TV in the bedroom was also not working. At this point it became clear that this property was not up to par for a standard VRBO. We reached out again to the host, who simply offered to send someone to repair the oven. By the end of the day, there was no repair man and the host simply stated they had no one local to help us and the repair man they found wasn't able to come out. Long story short, we got the same run around on Tuesday and decided to vacate on Wednesday with no resolution.
