This was perfect for what I had envisioned our trip to be! The views were breathtaking and could be seen throughout the loft. We particularly enjoyed listening to the waves crashing against the shore at night, through an open window. Nick is a thoughtful host, paid meticulous attention to every small detail, ensuring a truly exceptional stay! He communicated with us before, during, and after the trip. We received an informative book via email that beautifully presented details about the loft, activities, dining options, and more! The loft was very clean and organized and the property had a large fire pit, ample wood, and two kayaks, along with life jackets. This was undoubtedly the most relaxing trip we’ve had in a while and my husband even remarked on how much he enjoyed this loft and the location. We’re definitely planning to return again and again!
Close to Jay peak for skiing/snowboarding. Nick had great communication throughout the entire stay! The loft has everything you need and beautiful views! We enjoyed our quiet and relaxing weekend!
Stunningly beautiful. Incredibly private. Pictures don’t do justice to the beauty - Wall of windows looks out onto mostly undeveloped shoreline on lake Memphremagog. If you are fortunate enough to stay here do yourself a favor and wake up for sunrise and be there for sunset.
30 min drive from Jay Peak, which was the reason we stayed here. The view was gorgeous and the property is very nice. Nick was excellent about communication.
The property was beautiful and as described. The view was spectacular and I wish I had that view all year long! It was very secluded and quiet, which made the trip very relaxing. The host, Nick, was very responsive and great to deal with. The bed was comfortable and the place was very clean and contemporary. Although we knew it was a small kitchenette type of thing when booking, we didn't realize how much we would miss having an actual kitchen with a stove, especially because the weather was not great and the town didn't have a lot of options, so we would have liked cooking in more. Also because of the weather, we didn't get to use the kayaks or swim, so we can't give feedback on that part. Internet and mobile connections were spotty and the TV is app driven, so that was a little bit of a challenge for cable dinosaurs like us...lol. The town of Newport is very small and not a whole lot going on. We did really like the Thai place and the Tavern for eats, and there's a decent grocery store if you need anything. (One suggestion for Nick: a full length mirror would be nice. I bought one from Pottery Barn that hangs over a door so you wouldn't even need to drill holes!! Lol)Overall, it was a great rental and I would highly recommend it if you're looking for rest and relaxation in the summer. Winter and skiing season may be a different story, and I can only imagine what that view looks like during that time of year!! :)
