About this property

Sunrise Meadow Cabin near Gatlinburg. Time to relax in the Smoky Mountains of TN

Welcome to our Log cabin. This real log home is set in a sunny meadow surrounded by the Smoky Mountains and the Cherokee National Forest with awe-inspiring views. This perfect mountain getaway tucked into a private cove, with all the comforts of home with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. It's easy to get to from I-40 but still so peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. Much thought has gone into the details such as the children's room with bunk beds and books and toys. Plenty of seats on the wraparound porch for sipping coffee while looking out at the mountains or watching a sunrise from the back or sunset from the front. One can walk all the way around the house from the hot tub to the firepit, to the oversized rockers, to the picknick table boasting of a glorious view of the mountains. From the hot tub, the view is spectacular. Great spacious yard, boasting of two fire pits!.

On the inside, there is beautiful woodwork highlighted by the vaulted ceilings. From the loft, there is a lovely view of the mountains and the attractive surroundings invite you to sit and enjoy it. The master bedroom boasts of a large walk-in closet and bathroom with a jacuzzi tub combined with a private den, 49 inch TV and king size bed. There is a personal small refrigerator and coffee service in the room. This room makes for a lovely retreat. The full-service laundry room is a definite plus. The attention to details makes you feel that someone loves this cabin and that it is home away from home. Go whitewater rafting, hike to the falls, take a mountain picnic, visit Gatlinburg, just 22 miles away. Come home to a modern, rustic cabin with a typical country-style decor.

Since there is no trash service out here in the mountains, it is expected for guests to remove and dispose of the trash generated. Trash left outside attract wild animals. For your convenience, there are two trash disposal sites close to the cabin. You will pass one as you come and go to Gatlinburg on 321 and one as you get on I-40 on Wilton Springs Road. The signs say only Cocke county residents, and this trash is generated in Cocke and can be disposed of there. If you leave on a Sunday or holiday, you may leave one bag of trash for the cleaners to remove.

Great location off the beaten path

This is a wonderfully secluded location close enough to get to Gatlinburg, the Smokies, Pigeon Forge, etc. The Foothills Parkway is close enough to get a taste of the Smokies if the weather isn’t perfect…..it rained the time we were staying. But the cabin is plenty big and the amenities perfect for those who want a place to take a break and just sit on the wraparound porch. Or take a nap. Or get in the hot tub on the porch for some relaxation. There is a mountain view to wake up to each morning and birds to hear in this quiet place. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Great stay

We loved this cabin. The owner was easy to communicate with and the cabin was clean and beautifully decorated for fall. If I go back to the area I would book the cabin again!

Great location

The house was in a great location. My wife and her friend used the hot tub every day. We made a fire in the firepit. The best thing was the house. The wood ceilings and wood floors were beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay their again.

Beautiful setting

This house was well provisioned and a good location within 45 min of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in a quiet area. Our Sibling Retreat allowed us to rest or drive into town for entertainment. Having to take our own trash was a first, but it was manageable.

Gorgeous Cabin Stay with Great Amenities for Kids

We recently stayed at this cabin and overall had a lovely time. The cabin itself is absolutely gorgeous and full of thoughtful touches, especially for families with young children. We really appreciated the baby gates, changing table, and pack-n-play—those made traveling with a little one so much easier. And the porch? Total dream. I could’ve spent the whole trip out there. That said, there were a few things that took away from the experience. The front stairs were rotted and felt unsafe, which was especially concerning with kids around. Cleanliness was mostly fine, but we did find some old food under the bed frame in the master bedroom (though we didn’t notice it until we were packing up to leave). The biggest downside for us was the lack of privacy. The back side of the house has no curtains or coverings, and it felt like we were being watched from the nearby property, possibly by the owners. It made relaxing in the main living area a little uncomfortable, particularly in the afternoons. With a few updates—especially to the stairs and window coverings—this place would be perfect. Still, it has a lot of charm and potential, especially for families.

Beautiful cabin off the beaten path

Beautiful cabin, owners were great to work with and very responsive. A little further from Gatlinburg than we originally thought but it suited us well. We did not get to enjoy all the amenities the cabin had to offer because the weather didn’t cooperate. We will definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the house and location!

We loved the thoughtfulness that went into stocking the house with necessities! All of our kiddos enjoyed the house, wrap around porch, and yard! We roasted marshmallow’s multiple nights with the kiddos and the adults enjoyed the hot tub at night! Would recommend this house!

Beautiful Location

The cabin is in a lovely valley with a gorgeous view of the sunrise over the mountains. The hosts were very responsive and the cabin was very clean and had many comforts of home. The neighbors were close by, which was a surprise, but it didn't deter from the beauty of the location. We woke up to roosters crowing in the mornings. :)

Beautiful and peaceful

The views are stunning and the property is comfortable. Not a lot to do in or close to Cosby but gatlinburg and pigeon forge are about 30-45 minutes. We preferred the quiet over the convenience.

Beautiful!

We rented this cabin to try to start having annual family vacations again after losing both grandparents 2 years ago. Most of the family came and everything was wonderful. Any questions were answered immediately, but should not even need to be asked if we had read the booklet they left on the counter. The owners were very gracious about it anyway. Clean cabin. Very well kept. A lot of things were furnished that have not been provided at other VRBO we have rented. All family were impressed and expressed a desire to return! Thanks Faison’s!

Perfect getaway, such a nice time!!

This house was so lovely and quaint, clean, and very well decorated. Our hosts were so nice and dedicated to making our stay a great one. The view of the mountains was amazing and the neighbors even asked my son to play basketball. If we didn't have plans to do other things in Gatlinburg we would have been completely content staying in for the week. I can't say enough about how well our hosts communicated with us at every turn, even when we couldn't find a remote, lol. The house is beautiful with such lovely country decor nestled into the abundance of modern convenience. If you are looking for a place off the main roads that you can relax and enjoy the mountains and quiet, this is a wonderful place to be. Thanks so much for extending us such a warm welcome!!

Clean and quiet

This is our 3rd time staying in the Gatlinburg Tennessee area , and this cabin is by far the best and cleanest one the we have stayed in. Other locations didn't provide enough essentials like hand soap, trash bags, TP, but this place did. Having to take away your own trash was different and we kind of over though it before we got there, but there is a place about 5 mins away that you can throw your trash out at no charge, and they provide the address to that place and one other place. We made use of both fire pits , the 2nd night we made a real fire , there is wood around by the basement door to use. The next 2 days it was raining so we used the gas fire pit on the covered porch. It is a little far from Pigeon Forge, about 50-60 minutes, and about 30-40 minutes from Gatlinburg, but we tried to plan all of our things in those areas on the same day. If i had to say anything negative it would be that they could use some weatherstriping around some of the doors, as there were a few gaps the bugs could get in ,we didn't notice any bugs in the cabin though.

Very conveniently located cabin with a roomy layout

The sunrise meadow cabin is within 10 minutes of a decent size town with a Walmart lowes fast food a few shops. The cabin is also with 5 minutes of a dollar general. About 20 minutes away from gatlinburg. (Pretty cool antique shop about half way). The master room has plenty of room a very large closet and a jet tub to relax in. The other rooms are nice sized as well. The house is decorated in cool antiques and decor. The hot tub and firepits are amazing. Natural wood bar in the kitchen and plenty of counter space. Nice wrap around porch. Family members are nearby to assist with any issues or concerns. We could see deer running in the fields and The neighborhood dogs even stopped in for a visit.

Perfect for families

We really enjoyed our stay!! We were in the area for a wedding. It was me and my grown children and their children. My daughter has 2 grown children and my son has 2 small children. We all had plenty of room as well as separation of space with the 3 levels and bathrooms. It was a great stay. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area.

We love to spend time together and work on projects with each other. We enjoy being in the out of doors as well as spending time with family. We've been married 16 years and have 4 kids. Sometimes life is crazy, but we're glad that God gives us much grace!

Why they chose this property

Our family purchased this property as a retirement investment and because we love the Smoky Mountains and love to spend time there. The area is very peaceful and the cabin is a genuine log cabin.

What makes this property unique

The quality of the cabin is excellent. The architecture is beautiful with vaulted ceilings. Since there's no paint or sheetrock, the natural beauty of the wood shines through. The cabin is set in a perfect place for enjoying long, mountain views. We like that it is in a remote area yet is only 10 minutes from Walmart!
