The house was great. It was very clean. Everything was as advertised - no surprises. Great location!!Only had 1 issue - the grass needed mowed but may have been a lot of rain which would prevent mowing

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Communication
Not bad, not great. Bedding and kitchen were clean, but deck and hot tub were not. Very steep hill down to the water with no railing or stairs. The master loft stays 75 degrees in the summer heat despite the AC. I had a better impression until trying to get the hot tub cleaned for our use, and communication fell apart. The hot tub was dirty and broken when we arrived, they sent someone to fix it but it was still dirty. Then they said they’d be charging me to have it cleaned. Then they said they wouldn’t, and had it cleaned, but there was still black debris in it after the cleaning. Grill was also unusable due to how dirty it was. My biggest issue though was the communication with property management about the hot tub. The house itself was fine, beds clean and comfortable, just not a luxury stay. If you aren’t too particular it’ll be fine. Bring everything you need though, no seasoning, ziplocks, not enough TP or trash bags, no beach towels

The location of this home is beautiful. The inconveniences of the home was lessened because Douglas Lake is beautiful and we spent most of our days on the lake. This home has the potential to be a treasure, it just needs some TLC and maintenance. The central air unit was not working and the home had 4 very small window air conditioners - during the night, the house did come down to 75 degrees but it stayed at 80. degrees all day long when the sun was out. We took meals to prepare on the grill which was not in working order. The hill down to the dock is very steep, and any kind of rope or post to hold onto would be helpful when coming out of the water to get to the grass. The grass was very tall and maintenance of the decks was also lacking. Overall we had a great vacation because we spent most of it in the lake - we would consider staying at this VRBO again if we knew some upgrades and maintenance had been done. It would’ve been helpful if the central air and grill situation had been communicated so we could’ve brought some extra things with us to make this vacation easier and more comfortable.
