Great home. Great location

The home was great. We had 4 adults and 7 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. The location on the slopes was perfect for the kids making it easy to come and go from the slopes throughout the day.

Prefect house, great location

Great location, just above the tunnel of bunny hill. We were able to ski back for a quick lunch between runs. House had everything we needed for cooking. Can’t wait to go back.

Unbeatable location

Great spot for multi generation ski trip. Kitchen was well equipped. Garage was a great asset too. Definitely in need of a deep clean after a winter rental season but would absolutely rent again.

Great place, will be back

Clean, spacious, fully stocked kitchen. Great ski in-ski out access and walkable distance to Purg village. We were a little disappointed that heater issues on the first floor prevented us from utilizing the downstairs living space (space heaters provided could not maintain temp), however still plenty of space for 8 adults to spread out.

Fantastic Townhome!

This a great townhome in the middle of the mountains north of Durango. With three stories, everyone had their own space. We had 11 in our group so we had some of our kids sleeping on couches, but their backs could take it! Lol. I would say this is the perfect place for 8-10 people. Purgatory Resort is a ton of fun.

Great slopeside property!

We spent spring at Elkpoint 3 and absolutely loved it. This condo is just a few steps to the lifts and lots of room in a very nice condo. We had two families that included nine total people and felt like we had plenty of room. the garage is a nice feature to keep equipment in a warm space without having to bring it inside. Kimberly, the property manager, was super helpful and great to work with!

Beautiful

This home was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 3 young kids. We also had our dogs along with us, which the owners were kind enough to accommodate when I couldn't find any other places that would. The costumer service was wonderful, Kimberly was very friendly and easy to work with. The house had enough rooms for each adult to have their own space, and the kids were very comfortable in their twin beds. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals for the entire weekend. I recommend buying food before making your way to the house because Wal-Mart is about 40 minutes away. The view is beautiful, the resort is beautiful... everything was lovely. We did the Polar Express tour and it was a lot of fun! We will definitely be making this an annual trip for our family.

Spring break skiing with the family

Everything about this property it great! Great location as you are right by the lift. House was clean and had all the essentials and more for the kitchen. One frustrating piece about the house is the heating issues in the basement as it never got above 52. I saw a review in Jan indicating they had issues with the heat as well but figured it would have been fixed before late March stay. Unfortunately, it was not which caused a major sleeping issue for us as it was way to cold to have 2 kids sleeping on the couch.at 52 degrees. Contacted the management company after the 1st night and never heard back from them regarding any attempt to resolve the issue. For anyone looking at this property, I would suggest to assume to not be able to use the bottom floor as its useless when it’s that cold for sleeping or even a playroom for kids even with a portable heater. I suggest that the management company mention the heating issue in the property details to for warn others since it’s clearly and issue and they don’t plan to fix it since it’s been an issue reported multiple times.

Perfect summer vacation in the mountains!

Our family spent one week in July at Elkpoint #3, and it exceeded our expectations! The nice pictures don't even capture what a beautiful townhome this is and it's proximity to The Village at the Durango Mountain Resort. We had 10 people in the townhome, and it was perfectly spacious for each couple/family to have their own private area and bathroom. It is very well maintained and up-to-date, and the kitchen is nicely equipped to cook any meals. The view from the living room is amazing!! We had 3 children with us, and they loved being able to walk to The Village where all the summer activities are...the bungee trampoline, alpine slide, zipline, scenic ski lift ride, mining, etc. We thought the distance from the mountain resort to the city of Durango was perfect (about 25 minutes), just far enough away but still easily accessible. Kimberly, the property manager is very kind and helpful and responds quickly to any questions or concerns. We feel like we found a really special place here. We loved every minute of our stay and look forward to returning!

Unwanted Bat

Two family groups were to meet at check-in time after long drives (one with children aged 5, 7, & 9). We received notification in the afternoon that the unit would not be ready for check-in for another hour & a half which required plan changes & communication with other group when we had limited phone service. We called Vacasa & they created a ticket but we didn't hear back. We proceeded to unit, folded clothes in dryer, and dried load in washer. The next day we noticed a bat inside the main room. We informed Vacasa and let them know location of bat and the need for a tall ladder before leaving for our activities. At the end of the day we received a call from maintenance stating bat was located but they need a tall ladder. They advised leaving door open all night in hopes it would fly out. We left it open until we went to bed - not willing to chance entry by other unwanted guests. Sleeping with a bat flying around was less than comfortable. Day 3 we headed to DMR front desk for pool access only to find Vacasa had not provided documentation so we couldn't get access. We put in calls and Vacasa did get this straightened out but not until we left the area for another activity.
