This large spacious detached villa is spread across three floors and ideally suited for a large family wanting to holiday in the sun together and have minimal contact with their surroundings. (Video embedded with villa photos - villa has since been renovated with new kitchen , artificial grass around pool and raised wall around property for privacy). The fully air conditioned walled in house has 8 spacious bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, two modern lounge areas, fully fitted kitchen, a large outdoor pool and a garage/storage area. There is an outdoor veranda ideal for alfresco dining and a large sun terrace. The villa is located in a gated peaceful residential area with easy access (if desired) to shops, beaches and all local amenities. There is a large modern Consum supermarket 100m from the gated estate. It is ideally suited to family groups but not suitable for adult groups who prefer late night socialising. The villa is fully enclosed with a 2.5m high fence for privacy. There is a perfectly maintained private pool and one has access to two communal pools located next door. There is a large sun veranda located on the first floor.
On the ground floor there is a mezzanine level suitable for eating outside/ relaxing in the shade. There is a gazebo located next to the pool. The private pool is approx 3x10m with slide. The communal pools are accessible year round.

General Area : Despite its name the Orihuela Costa is some distance from the city of Orihuela, in fact some 20 kilometres away. It comprises approximately 16 km of fine sandy beaches, rocky coves and clear sparkling waters stretching from Punta Prima (just south of Torrevieja) to Mil Palmeras.
It is now one of the most popular destinations in the region for a summer holiday, attracting visitors from all over Europe, the people of Spain themselves also love this part of the coast particularly those from the city of Murcia who flock to the Orihuela Costa in August. Holidaymakers are attracted by the wonderful, safe 'blue flag' beaches, the fine climate and the abundance of facilities and entertainment.
The Orihuela Costa boasts some well known and popular resorts including Cabo Roig, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Punta Prima and Campoamor. These resorts are all dotted along the N332 coastal road between Torrevieja and Pilar de la Horadada and are easily accessed from this road and from the AP-7 motorway.

Climate / Beaches / Travel: The Orihuela Costa enjoys a fantastic temperate climate and is renowned for being one of the healthiest places on earth to live, basking in over 300 days of sunshine every year and has an average temperature of around 20 degrees centigrade and very low rainfall. The hottest temperatures are during July and August when it can reach the high 30s degrees or more but sea breezes and elevation keep villa cool.

There is a wide range of beaches on the Orihuela Costa . Punta Prima beach is a 10min walk away. La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig and Playa Dehesa de Campoamor are only 5-10min drives.

Other very popular beaches within 45min drive include: Ãguilas, Mazarran, Cartagena, Calblanque, Mar Menor, La Manga, San Pedro del Pinatar.

Alicante and Murcia airports are located 45 and 30min away respectively. They are serviced by Ryanair, Easyjet, and other scheduled airlines. Car Hire would be recommended for exploring other beaches, golf courses etc.

Amenities: Punta Prima - A beautiful coastal resort located in the southern Costa Blanca district of Orihuela Costa, Punta Prima is within easy reach of several fantastic beaches all with blue flag status for cleanliness and safety. Punta Prima's own beach is renowned for its fine, white sand and is within walking distance of all the main amenities of the town.

The famous palm trees of Punta Prima are lined up behind the beach and can be easily seen from the main N332 coastal road between Punta Prima and Torrevieja.
There are some great facilities available both in and around Punta Prima and these include the Go-Kart track near to the famous water tower, golf (there are 3 courses nearby and others within a short drive), water sports, fishing, sailing and tenpin bowling in the nearby town of Torrevieja. Don't forget the Saturday market at Playa Flamenca or the huge Friday market in Torrevieja both super places to buy fresh, locally grown produce and other bargains.

Private property owner : villa purchased as holiday home for extended family - children and grandchildren to gather each year. Renting on limited basis to cover pool and community maintenance charges. Not interested in groups that would not suit a quiet residential area. ( We prefer to manage property directly with guests to ensure their suitability and to avoid unnecessary surcharges)

Why they chose this property

Had often visited area staying in property owned by extended family member ( From 2000) : Despite initial reservations about heat in high summer, we found that elevated villa location on coast had benefits of continuous sunshine and cooling breezes. Fell in love with area and decided to plan for retirement and found magnificant property which ticks all the boxes for our family needs. Area has all the amenities one needs for a summer holiday .... sun and sand and plenty of great food in adjacent restaurants. Supermarket is close enough for my 12 year old to stroll up and get warm croissants for breakfast and hot chicken for lunch !. Quiet estate which wont suit the hen/stag party crowds (which we discourage) and a rep for the villa living nearby to assist guests with any needs
