House was Perfect for our Family Thanksgiving!

This large home met every need we had during our five days during the Thanksgiving week. The kitchen was completely stocked with all we needed for numerous meals at home. The bedrooms and bathrooms easily accommodated all of our family members and their children. We had five adults, 2 young children and 1 baby and we all had plenty of shared space and privacy when needed. We appreciated the cut firewood and starter wood provided. The natural surroundings of the forest were beautiful and we were lucky enough to see some deer very close to the yard! We highly recommend for large groups and would stay here again!!

Great end of summer trip

the 3 couples and a sister in law all age 75 plus in age . we found the altude 4680 feet was nice vese 100 degree in the valley. the house with 4 bedroom was great with large table (10 seats) for meals we made in kitchen. shopping in sonora ,trip to lake,walk on flum.

The property was perfect for our family! The dogs had plenty of room to romp and we didn’t have to leave the house to do some sledding. Plenty of rooms and space. So many accommodating items. It was such a wonderful stay.

Nice place! We traveled up the highway to Beardsley Lake and Fraser Flat, but it was a little smoky from the distant wildfires. There is plenty of room on the property and good privacy. This would be a good place to bring kids.

Perfect for our family!

We enjoyed our time so much we are thinking about doing a summer trip here. The home had everything you could possibly need and some. The location was close to everything. No need to haul up toys for the kids, there was plenty of them. Games for the adults too. Great place!

Private large property in nature

Great large property, lots of space, and most amenities that you would need. This place is private, you do not feel close to neighbors. Nice backyard and patio area, the dog run was perfect. Fireplace was great as it started to get colder. 2 main issues that we ran into that resulted in just a slightly lower rating: 1) cleanliness was an issue, there were cobwebs in the shower, dust everywhere, patio was not clean, it just looked like they were not expecting anyone to stay and did not prepare the place for it (we went in the offseason) - as we pay for a cleaning fee, it was not great to go into the place in that state; 2) some things just didn't work, including the large bathtub (one of the reasons we chose that property in the pictures). Overall, we had a nice stay and would come back, but only after confirming with the owner that the place was properly prepped.

Beautiful Cabin

The house is very spacious. We hosted my sister and brother and they loved it too. I was able to relax in the large bathtub and my husband caught up on his R&R on the patio lounge chair. The kitchen has everything you need. We did our shopping in Twain Harte and BBQ’d on the deck, we even made s’mores. We would definitely return to this home.

Great getaway from the city

From the host to the location, everything was great! I appreciated Mike reaching out prior to the trip and for being available when we had questions. My kids (4 and 6) made themselves right at home as soon as they saw the swing set outside and kid friendly movie collection. The patio was the perfect place for my morning meditations and for some family meals. Its been a hectic year and this was a great place to recharge.

Beautiful cabin in great location

The cabin is very roomy and comfortable. Plenty of seating for everyone and very clean. The view is amazing and it is very private because the forest is the only thing you see from the back. The fenced yard is great for the kids and dogs to play in. We found a lot of snowy hills on the property to slide down. No need to go anywhere. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and plenty of linens and towels. This cabin is our new favorite!

Wonderful house in Sierra Village

We had a wonderful time at the house of Smith’s. The house is fully equipped with everything we needed and the quality of the items is excellent. Mike was great in communication and answered all our questions immediately. Twain Harte is within 10 minutes drive and has a nice grocery store. Mia’s brick oven pizza towards Pinecrest Lake is great. The Lake is really nice for swimming and hiking, and has boat rentals.

Clean beautiful Cabin

This was by far one of the best cabin experiences we have ever had! The cabin is not only beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside but it is also fully stocked with everything you need (dishes,pots, linen, toys, games, movies and much more). The cabin was very spacious, really clean and everything was very organized. The comfortable queen sized beds in every room was a plus. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is interested a cabin in the area. The owner Mike is very friendly and made checking in and out super easy. We look foward to another stay here in the future!

Mi-Wuk vacay 2023

The house is very comfortable with plenty of room to accommodate several people. We our daughter stayed in the basement room with our grandkids it was nice for the babies to go to bed away from the rest of the house so we could stay up later to visit and play games. My parents also came for a couple days and it was nice that the front of the property isn’t too steep for them. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need. The beds we’re comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Fantastic clean and well supplied home

My wife and I have stayed at this home on several occasions. We have also had our adult children come up and stay with us. This is the best supplied home we’ve ever stayed in. It is fully furnished with everything from towels to lots of pots and pans and dishes even Ziploc bags when you need them. It is clear that this is a home not just a rental cabin. You cannot beat the location very private on over 2 acres off the highway even the dogs love the fenced backyard.

This is my parents home,they are originally from San Francisco, growing up there and meeting at S.F. State. My Mom worked as an elementary school teacher and Dad worked as an electrician. Scout camping trips year round in the Sierras really warmed us to the area. My parents raised us family on the Peninsula, sent us kids to college, and are now enjoying retirement, and being new grandparents. We wanted to share this beautiful home with others so they might have wonderful weekend and vacation experiences that we were able to create for our family. In the winter you can ski at Dodge Ridge, in the Summer you can go to Pinecrest lake and play on the water. Hiking and camping opportunities galore.

Why they chose this property

Friends and Family live nearby in Twain Harte, and Pinecrest. It's a shorter drive than going to Tahoe from the Bay Area.

What makes this property unique

Snow in the winter, with it skiing, snowboarding, and being nice and snug by a warm fire. Summer has beautiful hikes and boating on nearby lakes. Fresh mountain pine air. It's lovely.
