Great stay all the way around! Property was in good condition and the Property Manager was responsive. Would definitely recommend and we are likely to rent again!
Love the Bay Area, but so nice to take the family to a get away that’s not so far. We celebrated our 50th anniversary. Was able to park and sleep all that came. Even brought the dog. The outdoor deck is amazing. So peaceful even with our large and loud group. Thanks for sharing your amazing property!
Great house and host. Great space for family. Very well thought out and stocked. Plenty of parking and also room for the kids to explore outside. Just below the snow but close enough to Pinecrest to be able to really enjoy the day.
We enjoyed some much needed family time with both sides of the family. The place was cozy and roomy. It was well stocked and had everything we needed. Location was ideal.
My family and I had an amazing time celebrating the holidays in such a beautiful home. The home was welcoming, comfortable and big enough to acccomate our big family. The check in process was a breeze and the owner was very accommodating when we had questions about the property. We will be back again in the summer. Can’t wait.
Have stayed here several summers in a row. Will do again. House is clean, property kept well, outdoor patio is amazing for a large group, fire pit a joy and it couldn't be more private. Heather (owner) is delightful and accomodating. Feels like our home away from home.
We had a wonderful time together at your beautiful cabin! The amenities were awesome and everything we hoped for. We made happy thanksgiving 2023 memories together here! Thank you for making it possible!
We had a really nice weekend. Initially we had a problem with the heater but Heather had it fixed immediately. My family loved it, very spacious and appointed nicely we will be back!
Thank you Heather
We had 11 in our group, made up of two families. How would we ever find a place with enough space, so that we that we would never feel cramped? Well...we found it here at this wonderful mountain retreat! With three levels and 5 rooms with sleeping accommodations, we even had an extra bedroom that we did no even use. The location was perfect! We made our way out to Dodge Ridge for skiing, Long Barn for ice skating, and Crystal Springs for sledding; but the highlight of our short stay was playing Loteria (bingo) with all 11 of us on the spacious dining table on a rainy night - lot's of laughter and quality time with friends and family. As an STR owner myself, there is nothing bad to say about this wonderful property and the accommodating hosts!
This home is Beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice.
We were a group of 12 adults. All parties were comfortable and had plenty of space to relax.
The owner of the home has thought of everything and has plenty of house supplies that may come up during your stay. All of the cute little pictures with information on how to access certain features throughout the home were very thoughtful of the owner and helpful for us.
The location is extremely convenient. The town of Twainheart is minutes away along with the Casino about 5-6 Miles away. Getting up to the Dodge Ridge ski resort was about a 45 min trip and very easy to get there.
We would definitely come back to this beautiful home for our next large group snow trip.
Our large family group, including four teenagers, had an amazing time here. The large common space was warm and inviting with a large stone fireplace, long dining room, and a big kitchen. The cabin is so big that the three married couples were able to spread out and each have a room on the three floors, providing privacy and enough space that we wouldn’t get on each others nerves! The wraparound deck had plenty of tables and chairs as well as beautiful views of the forest’s majesty all around you. We enjoyed an afternoon sitting around their propane fire pit table drinking coffee while the weather permitted. The cabin has the perfect blend of secluded enough to feel like a real getaway, yet not so far off the beaten path that one gets uneasy. Finally, the owner communicated with me when I needed her and was very detailed and pleasant in our interactions. We would certainly stay here again!
Excellent property. We found it at the last minute after the house we had reserved for months cancelled 2 days before our occupancy. I had driven by to locate and eyeball the cancelled house the week prior, and observed numerous significant safety hazards with the exterior walkways, steps, patio, and decks. As a retired home inspector, I know what I am looking at, and I had severe concern about bringing my people to stay there for the weekend. Also, it was in a suburban neighborhood with limited parking and neighbors in close proximity all around. Ugh. Not at all like the VRBO commercials...
So, when I was informed on short notice it was not available due to electrical failure, I was actually relieved to be released from the ironclad rental contract, though shocked to be back in the search for a decent and suitable vacation home.
And I came across this miracle. Nice house, well maintained, lots of space and privacy all around, very pleasant and responsive host. The house seemed like a home, as if someone actually intended to live there other than temporary renters. I spent much of the weekend just thanking my lucky stars at our miraculous change of fate.
Overall the house was what we were looking for, for a family get-together. Loved the large parking area. We had one family who parked and slept in their trailer. Loved being surrounded by forest. The kitchen is large and fairly well furnished. Wifi was very good. But the beds were only so/so, except for the master bed which was reported to be comfortable. We were there only three nights so got by OK. It was clear that no one had stayed there for a while as the keybox was overrun with spider webs. As we had a toddler with us my wife went around the building and cleaned up webs. It was obvious that the place hadn't been cleaned just before our arrival. There was some dust and we had a brown recluse spider in one of the tubs. Also some things weren't working. The fan over the great room wouldn't run which would have been appreciated as it was warm weather. The deck space is very large but the propane fire would not work. The tank that was there felt full but the valve was frozen so it was useless. Also the tank was very rusty. We tried a new tank that we had brought but it still wouldn't light. There are a lot of chairs on the deck but a couple of them were unusable. I informed the owner of the problems so hopefully they are working or replaced now. We didn't use the TV or fireplace so can't speak to their serviceability.
We reached out about hosting a small intimate family wedding and Heather was so accomidating and helpful from the start! We will definitely rent her house again next time we are needing a house in the area!!
This VRBO deserves a 5 star review! We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and well stocked. The property is quite beautiful with many deer roaming around the area. It’s quiet and feels far from civilization, but is not. The host was easy to reach and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. We would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay, Heather!
The house was spacious and well kept and could have accommodated more than the ten of us. The bathrooms were very nice. The location was secluded with plenty of outdoor space for our dogs.
