Historic Sonora, Twain Harte and Angel Camp are nearby, in addition to Pine Crest Lake and resort and ski and winter snow fun at Dodge Ridge to the east.

Revisiting the family home

Thank you so much for allowing our large family of 11 to stay in the house my husbands father built! It was a magical experience. We all appreciated the hospitality, cleanliness and communication. There was plenty of room for all of us, and it was such a beautiful and serene location. I can’t recommend this home enough and Heather is an awesome host.

We had a wonderful stay. The bedroom and bed setups were perfect for our families getting together! We loved making waffles, grilling out burgers, hanging on the patio, the fire pit at night with s’mores. The kids loved the slide and swings. We enjoyed our stay and the nearby lakes are breathtaking! Thanks for letting us stay!

Are stay was great.. its very hard for me to find a wheelchair accessible cabin/ home . I have small ramps i take just in case theres small steps . I was able to move around in my power wheelchair with no problem.. we had lots of fun playing boards games in the big dining table.. the house is in a place where you could enjoy the quietness and enjoy ... overall we had a great 4th of july away from the fireworks.. hosts replied ffast to my question and was very friendly .. would come back

Ultimate Private House

Our family of 11 loved our stay in your house. Our young grandkids used the swing set daily and rode bikes, played whiffle ball, threw frisbees and explored. The large inside dining area and deck table easily sat our group.Maybe the best part was the large, well laid out kitchen with everything you could imagine you could need for cooking.The air conditions was excellent. Umbrellas and cushions were easy to find.Bathrooms were clean and showers were excellent. Plenty of supplies.Communication was excellent with Heather.We look forward to our next stay!!!!Jack/Barb

Great house and host. Great space for family. Very well thought out and stocked. Plenty of parking and also room for the kids to explore outside. Just below the snow but close enough to Pinecrest to be able to really enjoy the day.

Great to get away!

Love the Bay Area, but so nice to take the family to a get away that’s not so far. We celebrated our 50th anniversary. Was able to park and sleep all that came. Even brought the dog. The outdoor deck is amazing. So peaceful even with our large and loud group. Thanks for sharing your amazing property!

Holiday getaway!

My family and I had an amazing time celebrating the holidays in such a beautiful home. The home was welcoming, comfortable and big enough to acccomate our big family. The check in process was a breeze and the owner was very accommodating when we had questions about the property. We will be back again in the summer. Can’t wait.

Fantastic for small intimate wedding

Another great stay

Have stayed here several summers in a row. Will do again. House is clean, property kept well, outdoor patio is amazing for a large group, fire pit a joy and it couldn't be more private. Heather (owner) is delightful and accomodating. Feels like our home away from home.

Excellent rental

This VRBO deserves a 5 star review! We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and well stocked. The property is quite beautiful with many deer roaming around the area. It’s quiet and feels far from civilization, but is not. The host was easy to reach and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. We would definitely return. Perfection

The pictures for this property don’t do it justice. The property is a pristine home nestled at the top of a hilly road away from the other properties. The view off the back deck is serene and the deck itself is a great spot to hang out and mingle, have a couple beverages, grill, etc. It was close enough to town where we could make a quick 10-minute drive to grab any supplies we ran out of or forgot. The group we had didn’t have a single complaint and everyone had a great time. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful weekend escape in nature, but is still close enough to some social activities such as restaurants, bars, or shops.
