We had a great time staying here, and the house worked out perfectly for our group. The playground in the back was a big hit with the little ones, and being able to walk to the 1st St beach made for great sunsets.
Immaculate and spacious home. Stayed 4 nights with 4 siblings and spouses. Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Accommodations and area were ideal for our quick adult gathering Thank you for a wonderful stay.
It was a wonderful stay! The house was awesome and so huge and very clean! We stayed with our family, friends and seven children. The garden is amazing for kids. We all loved the hot tub and the short walk to the beautiful beach! We would love to stay there again! Thank you Sylwester for being such a perfect host!
The property was amazing. The best part was every bedroom was a suite. The kitchen was amazing. The grandchildren loved the play set and the firepit. Evenings on the patio were very relaxing.Everyone wants to go back next year.
The house was very clean, had plenty of beds, provided beach chairs and towels, and had a fire pit for making s’mores. Our family enjoyed our time here.
This is our 3rd stay at this property over the last 5 years. The house is in fantastic shape and the owner cares about your stay. Property is as advertised. I would highly recommend.
Our family group of 9 adults loved our stay! The home is beautiful and was exactly as pictured. The host met us shortly after arrival and check-in was a breeze. The home was immaculate with many details personally handcrafted by the host. The modern kitchen is spacious and included all the appliances and amenities needed to enjoy an extended stay. The dining table accommodated up to 10, which allowed us all to eat meals together. The beds were plenty firm, but each bedroom had its own bathroom, which was a definite plus! Some family members are making plans for a return visit to the home in the future with their own children. The home and it’s location are definitely 5 stars and we highly recommend it.
Very well built and furnished. Essentials available in ample quantities. Very comfortable. Would ask to see "rules" before booking as some are not very realistic.
This is our third year back at this property, and it was a great vacation, as always! The owner is very friendly and helpful. He added a hot tub, which was a great surprise for our crowd. The yard is large and shaded with lots of room for activities (badminton which was already set up, frisbee and water balloons to name a few). The beach is a short walk away and was plenty sandy, but the water seemed to have more rocks than we remembered from previous years. The house is beautiful and very well maintained. It was perfect for our group!
We had a wonderful stay in this house. It was very clean and well taken care of. It was well stocked with every kitchen supply we could’ve needed. We appreciated the plastic dishes, games and toys for the kids. Every room has its own bathroom with a shower/bathtub, plus a half bath on the main floor. We loved the backyard with the hot tub, fire pit, and volleyball net. There was also a box outside full of outdoor toys, beach chairs and a beach wagon. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend this house!
There were 10 of us with grandparents, kids, spouses, and 4 grandkids (ages 4-8). The house was beautiful just as described. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house has everything. The host was very friendly and helpful. The kids had a blast playing in the yard. It had badminton, balls, a large firepit, hammock, hot tub, and plenty of tables and chairs. There was a beach close by in walking distance. Then there were shops, restaurants, parks and large beaches a short drive away. We had a wonderful vacation and would love to stay there again!
Extremely clean house about a half mile from the beach with all the extras, including towels, pillows, kitchen utensils, etc. Nice touch with the blue tooth speakers in the bathrooms! Please note that the house does not provide cable TV, which means you'll need to bring your own apps. The internet connection is excellent on the first floor but sketchy upstairs. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The custom woodwork is beautiful. Perfect for family get togethers. The beds are extra firm. Sylvester is very responsive and an extremely nice guy. I highly recommend this house.
Our stay here was fantastic! Each bedroom had it's own bathroom, which was great for multiple families visiting. The house was open, clean, and so charming. We had some issues checking in as the smart key pad didn't work, but Sylvester communicated our backup plan quickly. The house is about a 6 minute walk to First Street Beach, which is public, but really tiny! We were within minutes of downtown South Haven but the neighborhood was nice and quiet. The only issue we had was in regards to a small iron fence that bordered the sidewalk and a mulched garden bed next to the house. The fence matches the mulch and multiple people couldn't see it and caught their foot on it and tripped. We ended up with three falls from this fence, one of the falls resulted in two black eyes and cuts on the face. I messaged Sylvester that this fence should be removed but we never got a response. Just make sure you are careful on the sidewalk!

For more recent come customers, the fence was removed. Now
This was a beautiful home inside and out. Lots of amenities for a large group. Hot tub was the perfect temp, the fire pit was great (wood was available) and the kitchen has everything we needed. We loved having a bathroom in each bedroom. A group of 10 we loved the ability to have two to each room. The laundry room did have some soap available which was great since we had to do some laundry. Nice propertyThe negative:beds were not comfortable at all. The beds were hard as a rock, the futons were more comfortable but still hard. There was not any extra bedding or pillows. The towels were very thin and not very large. There were only 3 towels and washcloths to each bedroom. It would have been nice to have a few extra so we could not have to have done laundry. Things that would have been nice to know before booking: There are LOTS of cameras around the property that record with movement. Not sure if we were being watched by the owners or not and how private any of our conversations were. There was even a camera out by the fire pit. This is a security thing I’m sure but it’s not really known how many. The Host lives on the property above the garage and the third floor. We were told they would be gone for the weekend but someone was back by Sunday. This did NOT change our weekend plans or affect us in anyway, just would have been nice to have been disclosed. Rules: I’m sure it is for keeping the property looking nice and or insurance purposes but there are lots of rules.

Thank you for your stay and for sharing your thoughts. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the layout, amenities, and that the house worked well for your group.
Just a few quick clarifications:
Mattress comfort is subjective — many guests have even asked where we bought them because they liked them. We understand it’s hard to match everyone’s preferences — some guests prefer firm mattresses, while others like them soft. We chose durable, hotel-grade options to ensure consistent quality and hygiene.
Each bed has a full set of clean bedding, and towels are provided in every room. We’re always happy to bring more if needed. As for the thin towels — thank you for pointing it out. We’ll definitely improve the quality going forward.
The outdoor cameras are there for safety only. They are located outside the house, never inside. The system records motion only — not sound or voice. This is a common and widely accepted practice in vacation homes to help ensure guest security. Privacy is always fully respected.
The apartment above the garage is used by our staff, who help maintain the property and keep outdoor areas clean and ready for guests. It has a private entrance and its own fenced area, fully separated from guest space.
As for the house rules — they are clear, reasonable, and meant to help care for the home and ensure a safe, comfortable experience for all guests. While it may seem like there are quite a few, we truly value the safety and comfort of everyone staying at the property. Anywhere you stay that has features like a hot tub or a playground, you can expect basic rules for safety and maintenance. Many of our returning guests come back year after year and fully accept the rules and security measures in place.
Thanks again for staying with us. We truly value all feedback and wish you all the best in your future travels.
.Overdue family reunion week of relaxation and fun
We wanted have a multi generational reunion to see family we haven't seen for years. We also wanted it to be relaxed and fun for all including those in their 70s as well as the kids. The property was great. the main areas were spacious amd beautiful.
The kitchen was terrific with room for a cook and several helpers. With kids, it would have been nice to have a few plastic cups but we brought water bottles and sippy cups.
The backyard was great for kids. There were balls, badminton, sand toys as well as plenty of beach/hot tub towels.
The patio, hot tub, and fire pit were used by all. It was wonderful to have such a good supply of wood (although no kindling).
It was nice to walk to the beach which we did several times.
Overall we thought he place was GREAT.
The owner wrote us an email 1.5 day before we left (with i didnt see until very late the day before we left). He accussed us of breaking all sorts of rules which I feel that we didn’t know about or didn't break. He and workers saw us around during we and i feel that they had opportunities to clarify the rules. Better yet, they should have made the rules very clear upon making the reservation. I thought we were good renters... having family dinners and campfires. No parties or being loud or just being wild. The email just left me with a sour taste after an otherwise great experience.

Hello, I am glad that you enjoyed the house. We wanted your family to enjoy your stay. Although in the email I sent, I didn’t say that you were loud. The problem was that you rented the house for twelve people and many more showed up. The gathering was not a problem but that does not mean that the house code was meant to be shared with those that are not renting the home. I was clear about the parking, but got many complaints from my neighbors that your family has parked in several places on the street and near their homes. I also wanted to make note that the rules are very clear on the website and a house rules book in the home. I am glad that you enjoyed the home but the rules need to be followed.
Beautiful and well appointed home with many handcrafted details
Sylwester was a wonderful host and we had a great stay! The house is beautiful and just like the photos. Things to know:
Neither of the roads that lead to this home are paved. They are well maintained, but watch your speed and be prepared for some road dust.
1st St Beach, a 5-10 minute walk, is narrow and has steep stairs but not too busy. Dyckman Beach, a 4 minute drive, is a popular beach that has a parking lot and is much wider with fewer stairs.
There are 2 TVs, 1 downstairs and 1 upstairs in the area outside the 4 bedrooms which also has a balcony.
Upstairs, the 2 east facing bedrooms, and the 2 west facing bedrooms, each share a balcony.
There are no ceiling fans in the bedrooms. We bought a fan from Meijer, which is about a 5 minute drive.
The beds are VERY firm and the pillows are very thin.
The bathrooms are beautiful with a night light, heated floors, and lots of storage. The Master BR Shower features a rain shower, but there are no shelves, every other bathroom has a shower caddy for toiletries.
The Kitchen is huge with new appliances and lots of cabinets and cookware - although we couldn’t find a working can opener.
The outdoor patio includes 2 tables with umbrellas, a covered glider seat, and a gas grill. The electric started on the grill was a little finicky. Next to the patio, the hot tub is covered with a nice gazebo and maintained daily. The entire area is visible from 1 road.
The back yard is large and has a fire fit.
This property was ideal. It included everything that you could want, including beach towels, toys, chairs, wagon, and backyard games . Location was excellent and a short walk to the beach. We have stayed in numerous places over the years, and this is among the best. It is a 5/5 rating.
Great quality housing for a large group. We had 10 adults & 4 kids (3 - 10). It accommodated all very comfortably. A full bath for each BR … well appointed kitchen … great fire pit & wood provided … easy walk to beach (although we headed to a larger beach near downtown). It’s a WINNER!
Everything you could ask for...and more! Incredible craftsman ship in this home construction, immaculate, perfectly outfitted with everything you need, plus. Loved the outdoor patio with ample seating, fire pit, badminton. Owner/host is very responsible and helpful!
Beautiful and spacious vacation home for the extended family!
This was everything as advertised. Each room having its own private bathroom was very nice. The house had a very open feel to it so we could all enjoy being together, but not feel on top of each other. The backyard was great for the kids (sand pile, slide, badminton & hammock) and then there was Lake Michigan a short walk away. The owner was very gracious, friendly and helpful. It was a great family vacation!
We absolutely loved our tome in this property. Sylvester was so accommodating to our special needs and our time frame for a hospital bed to be delivered and picked up. The house is gorgeous, with a large master bedroom and en-suite. The rooms upstairs were able to hold up to 3 people very comfortably. The upstairs was great for our kids/grandkids to be on their own and they loved the community living area. The main level had so much open space. Great for all of us to easily move around in; especially nice for playing with the kids and my wheelchair. Very short drive to downtown South Haven and to the beaches on Lake Michigan. This property is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds during peak seasons but close enough to enjoy all the amenities. We will definitely come back again and recommend this home to family and friends.
5 large bedrooms each with a private bath was ideal for our sibling reunion! A 15 minute walk to the lake with beautiful sunsets and a few minutes drive to downtown restaurants, shopping and sail cruises.
We loved our stay at this brand new, European inspired, custom designed house. Every BR was spacious with its own bath. The kitchen was well stocked with dishware, glasses, and appliances. The living area was spacious; the patio grill and outside area worked out nicely; there was a nice supply of outdoor equipment for kids to play in the grass. We played badminton every evening. Couldn't ask for a better place for a large group.
