About this property

Summertime at the Big Lake Lodge

Welcome to Summertime at Big Lake Lodge! Although this listing may be new on VRBO, I assure you that the property remains owned by the same owner and is managed by the same co-host. It has previously maintained a 9.9 rating with the former management company, and we are committed to achieving a 10-star rating.

Summertime at Big-Lake Lodge offers more than 5,000 sq. ft. of living space for families and friends to gather. Newly remodeled with a focus on guest convenience and comfort, this Adirondack Lodge-style property offers sleeping, dining, and outdoor seating for up to 14 guests. Enter through the large foyer to begreeted by the expansive space of an open kitchen, dining, and living area. Pass through the kitchen and dining area to the oversized living room with a woodstove insert in the floor-to-ceiling masonry fireplace. Enjoy your favorite media broadcasts on the brand new 4K 65" TV mounted on a full motion mount for easy adjustment to your preferred seating area in the living room. Groups with split interests can send one group through the French doors to a family room offering another 4k 60" TV also on a full motion mount for convenient adjusting. When bedtime arrives, everyone will find a spot to call their own.  There are 2 queen options and a twin size convertible sleeper love seat in family room), 1 King w/ private deck toward the lake, and a bunkroom for the kids offering 5 twin beds and 1 full. The kids will find their own hangout spot in the room with built-in seating, wall mount TV, and games. The family can gather after dark or on rainy days in the cedar-paneled game room featuring a pool table and a board game table perfect for anything from cards to board games or just hanging out. Perhaps the best feature of this home is the magnificent lake views and private beach along the shore of Lake Champlain.  The deck is completely gated for pets and children, but steps exit the area in two places for convenient access down to the water. Seating is available on the terrace just above the water level. Open deck seating can seat 14 for dining at the same time, and the owner has provided both charcoal and gas grills for guest use. The conversation area in the screen porch is ideal for those evenings when the sun is setting, and our Adirondack black flies or mosquitoes come out to play. Those headed down to the water will find a couple of kayaks, a canoe, and a variety of flotation devices for guest use.  The beach area is made up of small rocks, so water shoes are recommended. If power boating is your family's favorite activity, there is ample parking available for the boat at the property, along with a designated mooring. Additionally, the state boat launch is located less than a quarter mile from the lodge. This home is perfect for the family looking to make memories that will last a lifetime in a setting that offers superior comfort and location.

Why this property?
This property was specifically chosen for its prime location. Nestled in a private, wooded setting, it offers guests a feeling of being in the heart of the Adirondack Park. The waterfront on Lake Champlain provides the perfect blend of both environments—access to the beauty of the Adirondack Park and the recreational opportunities of the lake. Activities like boating, sailing, paddling, jet skiing, and swimming make those hot summer days enjoyable, especially when hiking the high peaks of the park isn’t an option. Why this property? LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.
