Overall, we booked this property at the last minute due to a family emergency, and it worked well for what we needed.The listing photos seem a bit outdated. When we arrived, there were quite a few overgrown weeds around the property. Inside, we arrived late and were trying to get dinner ready for our kids, but many of the dishes that had been put away were still dirty, with stuck-on food and crumbs. We also noticed carpenter ants, and the sheets in the downstairs bedroom had stains, so we chose not to use that room.The host was very accommodating when I communicated the issues, very responsive, and easy to communicate with, which we really appreciated given the circumstances. Since we were there because of a family emergency, our focus was on being with family rather than where we were staying.One fun surprise was a friendly little chicken that perched near the steps every evening. She was incredibly sweet and let us pet her - although she did leave quite a mess on the deck!Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but I do think the property would benefit from a more thorough cleaning and a little exterior maintenance.
