About this property

Across from Kamaole 2 Beach, concrete building, well maintained.

Very important, our complex Kihei Kai Nani, is HOTEL ZONED, and not affected by Maui's ongoing Transient accommodations issues. Ours is a one-bedroom condo, on the top (2nd) floor, next to our corner unit #212 of building #3, The unit has a full kitchen and amenities. Our Lanai is a good size with ocean and beach views and there is a nice table and chairs on the lanai where we eat most meals. We have recently fully renovated our condo (down to the studs in every room) which means it is brand new. It is furnished with high-end appliances and furniture etc. Our bathroom is completely tiled with a very spacious shower, and all new towels etc. Kamaole beach II is directly in front of us, about 100 yds from the door. The pool and laundry room are about 100 ft. away at the pool. Restaurants and shops are 1/2 a block away. Our complex, Kihei Kai Nani, was one of the first two Kihei resorts built in the seventies. They could have chosen any of the beaches for miles around, but they chose Kamaole II, what more to say? Actually I should comment on our decision to not install a dishwasher, washer and dryer, We have been visiting our first condo in Kihei Kai Nani for about 35 years now, and have never felt the need for such appliances. Two people can surely wash dishes in a large double sink, and a washer and dryer take up a lot of space, and are very expensive to operate with Maui electricity costs. They give off heat, they are noisy, and they can leak and need repairs. When the laundry room is steps away, beside the pool where you often meet other vacationers, it is a no brainer. In our opinion, A/C in Hawaii is generally not necessary,, but we have installed quality units for those, that desire it, I have owned my 1st condo in Kihei Kai Nani for 35 years and have never lost a guest due to not having the appliances aforementioned. Finally, if you are looking for the cheapest deal, in KKN, then ours is not it, but I do believe for a few dollars more, we will give you one of the best units in KKN for your money, We just purchased a new Queen sofa bed and mattress in Jan/25

We had a wonderful stay. There is a view of the ocean, albeit past the parking lot and road. But the ocean is beautiful, and Kam 2 Beach is literally just across the street. It's a great beach!

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this Kīhei condo! The location truly can’t be beat — directly across from the beach with stunning ocean views and the most amazing sunsets every single night. Being able to walk across the street for morning beach time and evening sunset strolls was such a luxury.The condo itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and fully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From beach chairs and towels to a well-equipped kitchen, it felt like every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The bed was super comfortable, the AC worked great, and we loved relaxing on the lanai with the ocean breeze.The host was fantastic — responsive, helpful, and made everything seamless from booking through checkout. The property is well situated with the ocean view advertised and very good accomodations. There is everything you would need in the kitchen. However, if you want hot water for a shower this is not the place for you. The owner knew he had a defective hot water cartridge he couldn’t replace before our stay and never told us. No matter when we tried to have a hot shower it was only hot for 20 seconds (I timed it) and then at best only luke warm or cold. Not fair. There are alsoNo written directions on how to operate direct tv, dvd or micro which when one is unfamiliar with these things makes them difficult or unusable.

Great vacation rental

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was clean and organized and had everything you would need. Being within walking distance of the beaches and places to eat was a huge plus as well. 10/10 would stay again!

Terrific location; helpful host!

First time ever in Hawaii for me. The host contacted me with information & tips which were very useful, from scenic trips to restaurants and activities, as well as abundant info about the property.The location was ideal for us. Close to shops, restaurants/bars, and the beach. Couldn't ask for more. Plenty of free parking, nice on-site pool. If I return to Maui, this will likely top my list for spots to stay again.

I am a retired firefighter, from Vancouver B.C. I first purchased in Kihei Kai Nani in 1974, early in 2013, we purchased the unit next door, and stripped it bare, to do a total reno which took 3 months.

Why they chose this property

My family has been visiting this area for more than 30 yrs, It was one of the first complexes built in Kihei, they picked the best beach, because they could. Our complex is concrete construction and therefore looks as new.
