Located in the charming coastal town of Gualala, your base camp for exploring the Mendonoma Coast. The Gualala Arts Center and grocery shopping are nearby. Gualala Point Regional Park offers stunning beach access, kayaking on the Gualala River, and miles of coastal bluff trails. St. Orres is the closest restaurant, within walking distance. All other restaurants require a short drive. River access and Gualala Point Regional Park are also a short drive.



Getting Around:

Gualala is located on the Mendocino-Sonoma County border, about 2.5 hours north of San Francisco via Highway 101 to Highway 1. Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa is the nearest airport, roughly 90 minutes east. A car is recommended. Highway 1 offers one of California's most spectacular coastal drives.

December through April is whale season. You may spot gray whales breaching right from the bluff trail nearby. April through June brings stunning wildflower displays along the bluffs and throughout Gualala Point Regional Park. The warmest months run June to September. Coastal fog is common early in the day but gives way to sunshine by afternoon.

House and property was gorgeous, clean and cozy. We loved the book nook in the sun. Hot water system did malfunction a few times so that was inconvenient but the house managers were awesome and attentive so it wasn’t a problem. Loved this place, pictures do not do it justice!

The house is absolutely lovely! It feels like a treehouse, very private, with fantastic views. Booking and communication was easy peasy. Gualala is a cute little town near by that has everything you need. I would highly recommend this property. I might even book it again in the future.

Place is great - but description was inaccurate. The 'loft' is actually a separate mini cottage down the hill with a futon and a tiny half bath separate from the main property. This confused us checking in, but luckily worked for our particular needs. Also - the primary bedroom and bath are actually a loft. There is visual privacy, but no sound privacy. You can hear everything in the kitchen and living areas up in the primary space. Even the primary bathroom has open walls out to the shared space.This place is really well suited for a couple. Not the best arrangement for larger groups given the lack of sound privacy.

This home blew us away! We have rented many vacation properties over the years, but this one will always stand out for us. The location is ideal as it is close to many beautiful beaches and an easy drive to Gualala to pick up groceries or adult beverages. The outside of the property is incredibly serene, with beautiful decks, gardens, local stones, and a gorgeous view of the Pacific. A perfect place to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the views. The inside is very tastefully decorated, well-maintained, and abundant with useful tools needed for a comfortable stay, including quality pots, pans, and eating utensils (This is quite rare with rentals, trust me). Needless to say, our family of four (me, my wife, 13 y/o daughter, and 7 y/o son) will be back to stay as soon as possible. Thanks to the owners for sharing your home for others to enjoy!

Beautiful house & property

This is a beautiful property. My only criticism is some cleaning issues in the kitchen. Someone had previously left something in the garbage area (in an enclosed little closet) that had a super bad odor. The cleaning crew did not take care of that issue. Other minor cleaning issues in the kitchen, but overall everything else was clean. The climb to the property is a challenge for us older, out of shape (lol)renters. The grounds are beautiful. The house is one of the best we’ve rented in the Sea Ranch/Gualala area. We & my parents have rented many over the last 25+ years of family gatherings. Highly recommend for comfort & price.

House and grounds are beautiful and in a great location. Thoughtful details throughout the house. The only disappointing thing was the communication with the owner. Owner never replied to my messages. House needed to be cleaned and there were problems with the sink.
