Located the Village of Jacksonville, in the town of Whitingham, just 10 miles over the Massachusetts border, this apartment once housed the village cobbler shop. Today it retains its wide pine floors and antique features, a Southern Vermont village refuge for travelers seeking a welcoming retreat.
With two bedrooms featuring a queen brass bed and a full canopy bed, as well as a propane stove in the dining room and a pellet stove in the living room, guests find plenty of space to unwind. The two bathrooms include a bathtub and bidet, adding a touch of comfort to your stay. Whether you’re freshening up or getting ready for the day, the thoughtful touches make memorable moments.
In summer, relax on the stone patio. Have a small fire in the fire pit, weather allowing. This one of a kind apartment invites guests to relax in a cozy, well-equipped setting. Kickback, relax, and enjoy the village bakery and general store or visit a working maple sugar shack, 3 miles North on Route 100, or swim in Lake Whitingham, 5 miles North on Route 100, drive another 2 miles and go out to dinner in Wilmington, if you're willing to drive 25 minutes, ski or mountain bike at Mount Snow or head West and cross country ski at Prospect Mountain. There are countless hiking trails in the area.
However, we've been told that staying in by the fire and grabbing a book or playing a game has been just as satisfying.
