About the host
Hosted by Jim and Sue Rockwell
We moved to the area from New York in 2013, having fallen in love with it in 2006 and purchased our home that same year. Although there isn’t extensive health care nearby, we feel as though we moved here for our health! The air and water is outstanding, and the stress level is noticeably lower. We like to share our adopted habitat with others and take great pleasure in being able to provide romantic getaways for guests on a budget.
Why they chose this property
It has been said that Lubec is “a place that time has not reached yet.” It is quiet and very much has a throwback feel. No hustle and bustle, not much else to do but to relax and enjoy. We love this and love it equally much when our guests feel the same way!
What makes this property unique
We bought this property in 2010 and have been renting it out ever since. In 2024 we built a new cottage, mostly to increase the size and to make it a four-season property. Not many residences in Lubec are as new as ours and equipped with state-of-the-art furnishings and utilities. And it’s closer to the water than before!
