Beautiful property, incredibly well equipped kitchen, super comfortable bed, great location with views of water and feeding waterfowl. If you like quiet and peace while visiting Acadia this is your place. Everything was new and yet felt congruent with the environment.

Thank you very much, Bruce. I am happy you enjoyed your stay, despite the absolutely dismal stretch of weather.

This vacation rental was outstanding in every way. The house is located in a quiet part of Mount Desert Island, with limited traffic, and offers views of the ocean and a marsh. One morning, we watched a great blue heron fishing; another morning, we woke to deer grazing in the yard. Everything in the house is new (apart from some antique wooden furniture) and everything is clean and comfortable, Exquisite photographs of natural scenes hang on the living room and bedroom walls. The kitchen is fully furnished for cooking, baking, and dining. Our host, Diana, was as kind and gracious as could be, making sure that we had everything we needed, answering our questions, and suggesting activities of potential interest to us. For the two of us, this was a perfect retreat.
