"Hummingbird Suites" is approximately one mile from the main entrance to Acadia National Park. This is an immaculate, private, one-bedroom suite with hardwood floors. There is a separate sleeping area on a futon with a very comfortable double size mattress in the living room area. If you like flowers or birds you will enjoy our gardens that are frequented by many colorful birds, especially the ruby-throated hummingbird.

Hummingbird Suite

Perfect spot and only a mile from the entrance to Acadia. The space was quiet and we could truly relax between sight seeing trips. We loved the backyard ducks, geese, & chickens, beautiful gardens, and birds. I would book this space again!

We had a nice stay at this cozy and comfortable suite just outside of the bustle of Bar Harbor. It was the perfect base for exploring Acadia with our young kids - convenient, clean and quiet. The property was a dream for nature lovers! Our kids were thrilled to see hummingbirds, chickens, ducks, geese, and even monarch butterflies right outside the suite. It felt like a peaceful little farm treat on Highway 3. The house had what we needed. It was well stocked & thoughtfully maintained. We recommend for couples or small families looking for a quiet nature field stay close to Acadia without the crowds of downtown Bar Harbor.

Great stay!

We found the Hummingbird Suites to be just what we needed for our visit to the Bar Harbor area. It was a very convenient distance from downtown Bar Harbor (less than 10 minutes) and general Acadia park access. We also took a trip an hour away to Castine to do a bioluminescent kayaking tour. The suite was clean and comfortable to come back to for relaxing, especially after we did a 27-mile bike trip one day, which we mapped out on the huge map in the suite. We enjoyed watching the ducks, geese, and chickens in the garden area and got to taste goose eggs for the first time since the eggs were available for our use too. Thanks for a great trip!

Perfect in every way

We won’t stay anywhere else for our annual visit to this beautiful area. It’s got all the comforts you need - dishwasher, washer/dryer, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, TV and good WiFi, lovely pretty property, excellent location, and gracious helpful hosts. We look forward to being here year after year!

Great place to stay for Bar Harbor visit!

Apartment was just as advertised - great value, outstanding location, very clean, owners responded quickly, well stocked kitchen, very nice bedroom and sitting area, good internet connection. Definitely highly recommended and would come back - a great base for a stay in Bar Harbor, minutes from downtown and from the Park!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was immaculate as advertised. Kevin and Donna are amazing hosts who go out of their way to ensure their guests are comfortable and have everything they need for a pleasant stay. The location is very convenient — close to Acadia, downtown Bar Harbor and other stores and restaurants. We definitely plan to return.

Perfect place for our two nights visiting Acadia. Very clean, bed was comfortable, and the owner had fresh eggs for purchase. Made a great breakfast for us both days. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at the Hummingbird Suite. Everything we needed was supplied. Really enjoyed the Hummingbird theme throughout the suite. Being located near Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor was a definite plus.

Everything was just as promised. Plenty of room and everything was super clean. The best view of the hens, goose, birds and we even got to see a hummingbird out of the kitchen window! Lovely.

Relaxing Maine week.

The suite had plenty of room for two. It was clean, comfortable and kitchen was well stock with all the necessary tools to cook and you could purchase fresh eggs from the host. Grounds of property were very nice and enjoyed watching the ducks and chickens. Great location to Bar Harbor.

Hummingbird suite

The property is amazing with chickens, ducks, geese, and hummingbirds. The suite is perfect for a short term stay with a hopeful host and only 4 minutes to the visitor center where you can ride the free connector bus throughout Acadia and several off site areas.

Cozy Place Near Acadia

We have been staying at the Hummingbird Suite for years and have always had wonderful stays. Kevin & Donna don't miss any of the important details. Highly recommend.

Kevin and Donna built Hummingbird Suites ourselves and named it after Donna's favorite bird. Kevin works at a local genetic research facility and Donna is a beautician and runs her own Salon. Kevin is from Florida and Donna is from Massachusetts.

Why they chose this property

We chose the property because it is conveniently located in a quiet location within one mile from Acadia National Park and only 4 miles from downtown Bar Harbor. We also like that is on the west side of Bar Harbor with easy access off the island without going through the summer traffic in Bar harbor.

What makes this property unique

We provide everything needed for a comfortable stay in a fully-equipped private Suite we are close to several Lobster Pounds and other restaurants. We are very close to the main entrance to the National Park.
