Oh my, where do I start with a nicely curated and extremely well stocked home? I will list a few and let future guests discover ones which are important to them.Fire pit and dry wood excellence, outdoor spaces for activities and relaxing. Remote feel, but great bike access to town ( need to be willing to climb up the hill to the house). Everything one truly needs to cook, bake or simply grab a cup of coffee. Finally, comfortable areas to gather or nest into a chair and read a book…We hope to return this coming winter and enjoy that perspective as well. Enjoy!
This is a fantastic spot to be close to everything, but have your own secluded little Northwoods paradise! This was a very clean, updated and pleasant property for us and three kids to stay in. I love the location to so many things to do and amount of space we had both inside and out.
The Birch house was a wonderful stay. There were three couples sharing the house with extra sleeping space if needed. It feels like you’re in a treehouse being at that property. The mountain stream next to the property rushes with water when it rains! It is secluded, and yet very close to Grand Marais. It was very well appointed, we even found spices for dishes that we were preparing. The hosts seemed to think of everything! You will not be disappointed at this beautiful property. It was about an hour to Grand Portage National Park, and High Falls. Close enough to the BWCA. We went fishing on Poplar Lake down the Gunflint Trail. Had dinner at Nanibijou lodge, and Fisherman’s Daughter. The view of Lake Superior from the cabin was beautiful!
