Great trip!
We shared the house with a couple who are our best friends, and we all loved it, particularly being right on Penobscot Bay with easy access to Camden, Rockport, and Rockland. We found terrific restaurants— lots of lobster— and enjoyed the home’s privacy as well as nearby hiking and sailing. Maybe a longer stay next time!

Very well maintained, private and had everything we needed. The beds we’re comfortable and everything worked as it should. The location was perfect. In the middle of the best of coastal Maine. Lots of activities close by. I would definitely stay here again!
Property listing is accurate. Close to Camden and Belfast.
House is far enough off Rt 1 that one can’t really hear it.
Would stay again.

Very cute-great view !
View from front room is amazing . Very cute place. Great big screen TV in lower level - no bathroom on that floor but wonderful TV. Main floor view is amazing!
We had an amazing stay! We loved the view every morning. Overall, we plan on staying there again. Some suggestions; Better institutions on getting to the house from the main road. Update the listing to include AC. Update the laminated guest instructions for trash day being Saturday. Fix the stairs to the beach or rope it off. Get better trash cans to stop raccoons. These are not meant to be negative, just opportunity for improvement. We loved the house.
The house was in a lovely setting, great view, comfortable and well appointed. There is a path down to the water with the water itself down a flight of stairs but the view can be enjoyed from the house and yard above. It felt quite private and safe. The kitchen and bathrooms were far better supplied than typical for rentals that we are used to which was a surprise bonus. The shower water pressure and hot water was excellent, and the towels were very nice!
A few things to note:
Sound travels between rooms and floors. We used white noise at night and that helped if anyone went to bed early.
The master bedroom has a memory foam mattress. This was not great for us and we wish we had known ahead of time so I mention in case that is useful for others… it was in great shape, just not our thing!
The nights cooled down enough to make sleeping comfortable without turning on AC.
There is little light pollution so the night sky was AMAZING from the deck and the coast. We had naked eye views of the Milky Way on the clear moonless nights.
Would definitely recommend.

Elizabeth, thank you for sharing your experience, we're so pleased you loved our home and enjoyed your stay! It's great to know that you especially enjoyed star-gazing from the deck in the evenings. That said, while we acknowledge that mattresses will not suit everyone's specific preferences, we regret that ours was not comfortable for you. We enjoyed having you as our guest and we hope to host you again soon.
We loved the house. It was perfect for the 4 of us. The firepit was so nice after a long day of hiking. We made lots of s’mores. Location was great 5-10 drive to everything. Only thing I would change is the quality of the pillows. Besides that I would absolutely rent the house again. Probably one of my favorite places we’ve ever stayed at. Love the PSU sign. My husband and I both went there. We Are!
