Private 12-Acre Mountain Retreat - Hot Tub, Creek, Pond & Views Near Asheville
More than 12 private acres backing to miles of untouched forest. A flowing mountain creek. A private pond. Towering hardwoods. Expansive Blue Ridge views. Just minutes from downtown Asheville and Weaverville, Benfield Mountain Retreat offers a mountain experience that's becoming increasingly difficult to find.
Surrounded by mature forest and the peaceful sounds of Jimmy Branch as it winds through the property, this is a place where mornings begin with coffee overlooking the water, afternoons are spent exploring your own private acreage, and evenings end beneath the stars in the hot tub or gathered around the smokeless fire pit. The property's long private driveway, creek frontage, private pond, barn, and expansive landscape create a setting that feels more like a secluded mountain estate than a typical vacation rental.
Inside, every detail has been thoughtfully selected to provide the comfort and quality we'd expect when traveling ourselves. Handcrafted furnishings, hotel-quality mattresses and linens, a fully equipped kitchen, inviting gathering spaces, and thoughtful touches throughout create a warm, comfortable home in every season. Two spacious primary suites with private ensuite bathrooms, two additional guest bedrooms, and a full guest bath provide the privacy and flexibility families, couples, and groups appreciate.
Whether you're hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway, exploring Asheville's restaurants, breweries, galleries, and music scene, fishing nearby trout streams, or simply choosing not to leave the property at all, you'll have the perfect place to return to each evening. While Benfield Mountain Retreat is a new listing, hospitality isn't new to us. We own and manage multiple vacation homes, have deep ties to the area, and provide responsive local support should anything need attention during your stay.
Some places are simply where you sleep. Benfield Mountain Retreat was created to be part of your vacation itself. From the quiet of the creek and the beauty of the surrounding mountains to the privacy of more than 12 acres to explore, our hope is that you'll leave feeling rested, reconnected, and already planning your next visit.

About the host
Hosted by Matt
My wife and I first fell in love with this area when we purchased the neighboring property as our vacation home in 2020. Over the years, we came to appreciate not only the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, but also the peace and privacy that make this area so special.
When our neighbors decided it was time to sell, they asked if we'd be interested in purchasing their property. After spending years admiring the land, we simply couldn't say no.
We've been thoughtfully transforming it into the kind of mountain retreat we'd want to experience ourselves. Every improvement has been made with our own family and our future guests in mind. Our goal is to create a place where people can slow down, reconnect with nature, and make lasting memories together.
Why they chose this property
This part of Weaverville offers something that's becoming increasingly difficult to find: complete privacy without sacrificing convenience. Surrounded by mature forest, mountain creeks, and beautiful Blue Ridge scenery, it feels wonderfully secluded while remaining just minutes from downtown Weaverville and an easy drive to Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking trails, breweries, and countless local restaurants.
Whether you're exploring the area or simply enjoying a quiet morning on the property, it's the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.
What makes this property unique
