North Kihei puts Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge nearby for a change of scenery, while Maalaea Harbour is a natural choice for a boat outing or the Maui Ocean Centre. Drive south for the restaurants, markets, and beach parks of Kihei, including Kamaole Beach Park III. Then come back to a quieter strip of South Maui coast for the evening.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A hire car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
