Great time in Emerald Isle

This was our first time visiting Emerald Isle and we loved it. The owners were very helpful and gave us all of the information needed to make check-in and put a breeze. The home was very clean and perfect for our family of 6 for the week. The access to the beach is directly across the street which made our beach days very easy and the beach is beautiful. We can’t wait to visit again.

Summer Vacation

Beautiful home just steps away from the beach. Plenty of room for us to spread out (8 of us). Quiet area of the beach. Location close to Salter Path and restaurants, ice cream and mini golf. Amenities allowed us to cook meals. Check in was easy and Ginny was just a message away with quick responses. We would definitely return to this location.

A wonderful week at EI

Our first year at staying at Escape II and we were very pleased with the property- plenty of space for our family- the kitchen was well equipped for our cooking-everything was clean - and the house is located in our favorite part of the island too. The views from the deck are wonderful - really some of the best we have had at any beach home and better than some oceanfront homes we have stayed in! - and we appreciated the sturdy comfortable porch rockers and umbrellas on the deck- for some family members who need a shaded area . The beach access is directly across the street - a short and easy walk. A minor plumbing issue was handled promptly and completely resolved the same day- hosts were easy to contact and very responsive . Outdoor shower was helpful and parking easy and sufficient for number of guests. We found everything we needed in this house for a wonderful week at Emerald Isle and would gladly return there in the future.

A MUST stay in Emerald Isle!

My family’s stay at The Escape II was memorable and delightful. The proximity to the beach access was literally less steps total than many beachfront properties I have frequented. And, with kids is tow, this is a major victory! The price for our stay was a great value. The home is roomy, ultra clean, and has EVERYthing you will need to stay and live to the fullest. Communication, payment, and reimbursement of security deposit from owners could NOT have been more steamline or pleasant. It is our intention to make The Escape II a family regular vacay spot on beautiful EI. Highly recommend for any type of stay!

Rainy Week at the Beach

We had rain all week at the beach on and off. But, that did not curb our fun. Bill and Ginny's place was perfect in size and location. Our family of 6 enjoyed the beautiful ocean view from the front deck in luxurious rockers. We could open the sliding door in the evening for ocean sounds too. The neighborhood was quite and peaceful as was the beach for a prime week during the summer months. The home and kitchen were stocked to allow cooking and entertaining galore. We loved the location and house! We have an 18 month old so it was very nice to have the baby gate and crib and high chair available so I didn't have to pack that! We had a wonderful trip and look forward to returning!

Amazing beach house!

What a find! The first house we had cancelled due to Covid. We found this a few days later and thought it looked nice, but thought it was too good to be true. Man were we wrong! House was very clean, and the owners were beyond friendly! Beach access is steps away from the front yard which was important for us because we have kids who have a lot of sand toys. We loved this house because it's close enough to everything while being far away from things like crowded beaches. We will definat try get this house again next year!!

Great beach house vacations!!!

This house was so nice we didn't want to leave! Booking this house Ginny was on top of all the emails answering all my questions. When we arrived the house was very clean, organized and smelled really fresh! The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Biggest plus for me was that they are kid friendly offering a highchair and a playpen that came very handy with my 2 year old. This house is also located right next to the beach and not far from the town. We can't wait to come back next year! :)

I also worry about renting a home for my family I have to view thru pictures. This was an amazing, clean,well kept home. Views of the ocean, plenty of space within the home, close to attractions where you do not have to spend your vacation driving to family outings. We knew the first day .....we will be back... Great Vacation at Escape II W

This rental exceeded all of our expectations. The kitchen was stocked better than any rental I've been in and they beds and linens were very comfortable. This is as close as you can get to beach access without being ocean front and the views of the ocean from the porch are great. The owners are great to work with and we look forward to returning.

Great ocean view home

My family and I stayed at this wonderful beach home for a week. It has beautiful ocean views and very easy access to the beach. Plenty of accommodations and exceptionally wonderful owners. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch to watch the ocean in the evening as well as sitting on either side of the bar in the kitchen and playing cards. Thank you for sharing your home!!!

Great time

Our family had a fantastic week at this wonderful house. We have stayed in quite a few VRBO homes and this was by far the best appointed, best supplied kitchen and the most comfortable beds. The owners were a delight to deal with. The house has a great deck with comfortable rocking chairs to sit in and enjoy the view. A huge thank you to the owner's for all the thoughtful touches!

Why they chose this property

We both grew up with ties to the ocean and those ocean breezes are ingrained in our lives. As young parents, we spent time looking for the perfect coastal community where our family could enjoy a relatively calm ocean, clean sand, blue skies, ocean creatures, and beautiful weather for most of the year. When a family member suggested we buy the duplex adjoining theirs at Emerald Isle, we knew it was the place we were meant to be! Our 'home away from home' has been our sanctuary, a place to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, and a place our family loves. We enjoy the beach with its ocean breezes and sounds of crashing waves, and love spending lots of time outdoors. You can find us sitting by the ocean, sunning or reading, swimming, ocean kayaking, playing bocce ball, walking, building sand castles, or sleeping! In our large back yard, you might find us playing corn hole, ladder golf, volleyball, or softball. Emerald Isle is a beautiful, family friendly place, where children and adults can spend quality time having fun and making wonderful memories!

What makes this property unique

Escape II West is our little piece of heaven! We fell in love with our 'home away from home' when we sat on the front deck in those rocking chairs and looked out at the beautiful blue ocean! Venturing inside, we loved the large living area with those giant windows and great view, as well as the convenient bar area where we could gather for a meal, a snack, a game of cards, or a 500 piece puzzle challenge. With older parents, we were delighted with the main floor bedroom that enabled them to join us at Emerald Isle without having to climb or descend stairs. Once they were upstairs, they didn't have to go downstairs to enjoy their stay or their family, and could relax on the deck in the sun with the sights and sounds of the ocean. This property fit our family perfectly with its upstairs master bedroom and its three downstairs bedrooms, and we even had plenty of room to invite company and playmates!
