We are centrally located in the Beautiful Black Hills just outside of Rapid City to the west. We have Deer, Turkey, free ranging Peacocks, Coyotes and keep your eyes open and you may see a Mountain Lion.

The rental was very cute, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our 5 day stay. Sherrie and Dan we very helpful and responsive to our every query. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely perfect!!!

Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed staying here! It was absolutely wonderful! The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do on our family vacation to the Black Hills. The rental was spacious, clean, and hosts that went above and beyond what we expected! Definitely will stay here again!

The house was just what we were looking for and it fit the bill for us. It was clean with all the amenities needed. The location was great with nice views driving to the house and leaving. Dan & Sherry are great hosts, very responsive to any questions. Also recommendations for places to go or sights to see. We hope to go back to SD sometime and if we do, we wouild love to stay there again..

Beautiful Stay

This property had everything we needed and more. Dan and Sherry are wonderful hosts and the place was immaculate with unexpected extras to enjoy. The place was peaceful and relaxing. All activities we were interested in (Custer/Badlands) were a relatively short drive. Would highly recommend and if we are ever in that area again would want to stay there.

Awesome property in the black hills.

This property is amazing. Located in the beautiful black hills of South Dakota, a short drive from Rapid city. With lots of wildlife to enjoy and great weather, our stay was fabulous. As for the Vrbo it was great. It had everything you could possibly want. It was very clean and spacious, and the king sized bed was as comfortable as ours is at home. I would definitely stay there again.

Home in the hills

Our experience was wonderful. The house was everything we needed. We saw deer, turkey and peacocks right outside our door. The quiet little circle where the house is made it nice to walk our dog as well.

Stayed at Don and Sherry’s placed very beautiful area. Neighbors are good. Lots of wildlife to see very peaceful. Great place to stay with kids. They have a pool table will be back again.

Absolutely fantastic! A quiet area filled with nature outside of Rapid City but still close enough that we could drive back and forth easily. We really enjoyed watching deer, turkeys, and woodpeckers from the back deck, the bed was super comfortable, and the decor was very cozy. Dan and Sherry were wonderfully accommodating and really made us feel welcomed and at home, and we're glad we got a chance to chat with them while we were there. The next time we're in Rapid City, we're checking if they've got an opening first!

We moved here from NW Iowa in 2002. We are empty nesters with a home we love to entertain in. We like to Hike, ride 4 wheelers, ride our HD motorcycle, and just take in the hills attractions. We love to Geo Cache because you never know where that will take you but one thing about it there is usually a breath taking view involved.

Why they chose this property

We love this 2 acre property and want to share our home and let you experience what the Black Hills has to offer. We have forest service access right around the corner with a spectacular view and quiet setting with lots of wildlife to observe. On 4th of July there are plenty of fireworks to watch right here without all the people.

What makes this property unique

When the heat of the summer peaks you can plan on at least 10 degrees cooler up here compared to town and in the winter we have inversions that often we are 10 degrees warmer than town. Enough trees cover to lessen the winds that you will experience in other areas.
