VISTA DELFINO is our treasured vacation spot with a dolphin view. We chose this spot on Monterey Bay for our own family gatherings. It is close enough to all the area's sights and conveniences, but quiet enough to make your trip a true getaway.
Relax in your condo with a wall of windows overlooking the water. Hear the waves crash outside your door. A block from the sand, head out for a morning walk on the beach, enjoy boogie-boarding or a picnic.
Watch the sea life from the deck, and from the open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen. Gather in the fully equipped kitchen to prepare all meals or only a few -- the choice is yours. Venus Restaurant, Pixie Deli and Venus Pie Trap (espresso drinks and pizza), just off the beach, are walkable locations for eating out. Many other restaurants, grocery stores, and shops are within a mile of the condo. Our informational guide (in the unit) lists places to eat, shop and sight-see.
Located in the less crowded Rio Del Mar neighborhood of Aptos, this is your perfect base for visiting Santa Cruz (10 minutes away) and Monterey/Carmel (30-40 minutes away), as well as taking local nature hikes and having fun at the beach.
Vista Delfino is equipped with special features that make us feel pampered and refreshed. We hope our guests will appreciate them, too.
SLEEPS 4-6, Maximum 4 adults plus 2 children: Primary bedroom has a King bed with a foam and innerspring mattress (locally manufactured), and en suite bathroom with shower. Second bedroom has a Queen Sealy mattress with plush pillowtop. The second bathroom, with bath/shower combination, is off the hall. Two fold-out futons are available for sleeping in the living room, most comfortable for youngsters.
LINENS: We supply all sheets, bath towels and beach towels for your stay, including thirsty, St. Moritz bath towels.
FREE WIRELESS INTERNET and Extended basic cable.
KITCHEN: Major appliances (see below), plus microwave, coffeemaker and cooking equipment. We provide cleansers and paper products. Help yourself to our collection of spices and condiments.
DINING: Dine indoors with a water view (dining table seats 6), or more casually on the deck. Gas barbecue is on the deck.
GARAGED PARKING: Two (2) dedicated parking spots (one behind the other) in the enclosed garage for small-medium-sized cars only. Garage is shared with the neighbor. Trucks or large family cars or vans, and SUV's must be parked on the street.
POOL: The pool (shared among condo residents and guests) is open all year, but heated from May 1 to October 31 only.
STAIRS/Accessibility: There are 6 stairs from a flat walkway along the building to the front door of the condo. Guests can be dropped off at one end of the building to minimize stairs. There are about 10 additional stairs from the garage (bottom level) to this walkway.
Our location overlooking the bay means that the beach is downhill 500 steps, and an uphill walk to return to the condo. Those with mobility issues can be dropped off at the parking lot at the bottom of the hill to walk the path along the beach.
CANCELLATION POLICY: "Relaxed," as follows:
Travelers who cancel at least 14 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won't get a refund.
Guests are expected to notify owner of cancellations asap. Guests cancelling late may receive credit for a stay at another time, at Owners' discretion.
