Wonderful property. Very comfortable. Excellent location to visit Wind Cave National Park, Mt. Rushmore, and Badlands. Very serene and peaceful. Perfect place to relax!
Very clean cabin. The cabin had everything we needed. Thoughtfully stocked with needed items. Great location to area attractions. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Attentive host.
Had plans to stay here with elderly friends. Owner called me and cancelled two weeks before our trip because she thought we posed a fire danger and would catch the national forest on fire and cause them liability.
We feel so blessed to have found this place. I watched antelope bound over a fence in front of this cabin, and saw the Milky Way for the first time. The location is sublime, with a big picture window to see it all through. Hot Springs was a few minutes away in one direction and Wind Cave NP the other. You could explore just within a few miles radius happily for weeks. One of the most memorable rental settings I have ever experienced. Plenty of clean linens kept us warm and dry, super comfy seating made it cozy, and the crock pot and gas stove were a nice bonus!Of note: -the list of expectations on departure was more than I anticipated, so we left a few minutes late. Leave a bit of time for the exit chores. -the bedrooms are very tight, with no windows. This took some adjustment our first night or two, but then we slept very snug. -there was no place inside to eat. The cabin is lovely and cozy, but it is snug, not big. During summer, there’s a picnic table outside. It was perfect for us with our one teenager, but it would not have worked for our family at any previous stage (our other 3 are in college)We would feel privileged to stay again. I can’t imagine anyone wouldn’t love it, if they were prepared for what I mentioned above. The serenity was almost otherworldly.

We are thankful for your reservation, and happy to hear you were able to enjoy the wildlife, serenity and beauty.
I think our pictures reflect cabin setup. The listing mentions the sq. feet of the cabin, # and size of beds.
This cabin kitchen is full size, which we thought was more essential than a dinning area. We provide a folding table with chairs, that others have used if they choose to eat indoors. The outdoor picnic area is often utilized.
Checkout list asks to take care of garbage, to clean dishes, and remove used bed sheets and bath towels.
Reach out to me (I provided my phone # in my VRBO welcome message) in future when you are planning a trip with your older children. We do have a beautiful 5 bedroom house that would accommodate your family.
Thank you for staying with us.
Loved this cabin, very quiet, peaceful location. We stayed here during a golf outing to Southern Hills golf course, perfect location for that. We also enjoyed some dining options in Hot Springs and Custer.
The cabin is in a beautiful and peaceful setting. We enjoyed sitting out in front of the cabin and watching the wildlife. The weather during our stay was just perfect. A relaxing 3 days.

Thank you for visiting us, we are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay.
The cabin was the perfect place to unwind after a busy day exploring the Black Hills. Sharon was a fantastic host and made sure we had everything we needed! We cooked/grilled many dinners and the cabin was well equipped with everything we needed as a family of 4. I highly recommend for anyone staying in the area who wants a quiet spot to relax away from the tourism!
The cabin was perfect for my travel companion on me. We loved the quite feeling of the cabin and the area surroundings. Even the rain didn't bother us. Would gladly return for another stay.
The cabin was exactly as advertised and the perfect place for our brief visit to the area. This was our first visit to the Black Hills but we'll be back. Thanks for the recommendation to drive thru Spearfish Canyon, the mountain goats were amazing.
Easy to find with the written directions Close enough to town but secluded Great view from the deck.Clean and comfortable. Close to the Parks. Really enjoyed our time there.
