Spring, summer or autumn holidays .... Winter breaks or long winter lets .... 'LAUZANAC', self catering cottage in South West FRANCE is open all year round.

'LAUZANAC' is situated in South West FRANCE, DORDOGNE area at 3 km from the medieval village of EYMET, 20 km from Bergerac and its airport, 100 km from Bordeaux and its airport.

Luxury self-catering cottage with private pool, in the countryside of the medieval village of EYMET near BERGERAC. Very comfortable and spacious. We can welcome 2 to 8 people - with 3 bedrooms with en-suite. Nice for a family or for 1 or 3 couples of adults -
Come and meet the animals of the farm. For the lovers of the nature or the fishermen, the river Dropt is just down our drive and there is also a big reservoir with a path around for walking afternoons.

Eymet is a lovely bastide with its typical arcades on the square. Lots of cafes and restaurants. Famous market each thursday morning since 1270 ...
Eymet is not far from the famous villages and towns like Bergerac, Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Lascaux, Rocamadour, Bordeaux ... the castles : Monbazillac, Biron, Lanquais, Castelnaud ... the medieval villages : Issigeac, Monpazier, Monflanquin, Villereal ... the food : foie gras, confits, magrets, cèpes or truffes ... the good wine : St Emilion, Medoc, Bergerac, Duras ...

Prices are in Euros. From €460 to €1400 per week depending on the season. Changeover day on Saturday or Friday during the high and peak season, whenever you want the other months.
Special long winter let's price between September and March. Internet access for free (broadband) and satellite TV (English channels).
Long let also in May or June. Price depending the number of weeks and the number of people.

French country idyll

We had an absolutely fantastic stay, the house is beautiful and the owners are so welcoming and friendly. The kids loved feeding the animals and splashing around in the pool. Would love to come again!

Un endroit au calme, à proximité d’ Eymet

Nous recommandons chaudement la ferme de Lauzanac où nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans un agréable gîte avec nos deux jeunes enfants. Venir dans le Périgord est toujours très agréable, mais plus encore cette fois-ci il ne manquait vraiment de rien dans cette location sise dans un joli domaine agricole où nos hôtes nous ont réservé un parfait accueil. Nous avons passé une belle semaine à la campagne, où nous avons pu alterner visites de la région (Bergerac, châteaux…), activités (accrobranche,...), moments de détente dans la piscine sécurisée et nos enfants étaient très heureux de donner à manger aux ânes, chevaux, chèvres et cochon, à proximité de notre gîte.

Retour à mes vacances d'enfance

Nous avons adoré notre semaine au pigeonnier. Je suis déjà venue en 2005 avec mes parents. Séjour que j'avais adorée du haut de mes 13 ans. La proximité des animaux, la piscine, la région .. J'ai voulu faire découvrir cet endroit à mon fils et il a adoré tout autant que moi. Excellent séjour en famille. Tout est à disposition, propre et bien pensé. Isabelle et Thierry sont des hôtes discrets, gentils et de bons conseils. Il partage avec passion leur quotidien à la ferme. Nous avons pu participé aux soins des animaux, allez sur le tracteur et nous avons même pu voir un veau tout juste né que nous avons nommé Peyo. Merci à eux pour tout ces beaux moments Nous recommandons les yeux fermés le gîte Lauzanac.

Merci Alexandra pour ce gentil message. Ce fut un plaisir de t'accueillir avec ta famille après ce premier séjour de 2005 alors que tu étais enfant. Peyo, le dernier né de la ferme, va très bien et gambade dans le pré ;-) La campagne commence à prendre des couleurs de fin d'été mais il fait toujours chaud et les piscines sont appréciées. Vacances magiques à Lauzanac

Cette quinzaine de Pâques nous avions choisi la Dordogne ; nos petits enfants furent ravis et le westie aussi… Une ferme avec des animaux, c’est ce que nous souhaitions… Les Chênes, idéalement situé, entouré de verdure, était fait pour nous avec sa grande pièce centrale, son foyer ouvert, son coin salon à l’étage (chic, tv que le soir…), sa piscine, ses balançoires… Tristan s’est cru en Afrique en découvrant un « phacochère » et non, c’était un cochon, un noir de Bigorre. Juliette a pu s’adonner à sa passion, le soin des poneys et chevaux avec Sarah qui également a assisté à la naissance de jeunes lapins. Et puis il y avait aussi, le soin aux vaches et leur veau, sans oublier le taureau, le mouton angora et les chèvres et le chien qui nous suivaient lors de nos ballades. Jerry lui apprécié le jardin se gardant bien d’aller dans la piscine que les enfants ont utilisé sans retenu en ce début de printemps. Bien que ce gite soit idéalement situé pour rayonner, nous n’étions pas venus pour visiter mais simplement pour profiter du « bon temps » Encore merci à Isabelle et Thierry pour leur acceuil chaleureux (la bouteille de Duras fut une découverte et très appréciée) , leur disponibilité et leur et générosité (les enfants parlent encore de leur soirée au cirque).

Les vacances de Pâques sont un moment de l'année où les enfants peuvent vraiment approcher vaches, taureau et veaux, avant qu'ils ne soient dans les prés durant l'été. Quant aux autres animaux, ils étaient tout aussi ravis que vos petits-enfants devant les victuailles et les câlins qui leur étaient offerts. La bouteille de Côtes de Duras permet effectivement de découvrir un petit vignoble qui mérite le détour. Nous sommes heureux que vous gardiez d'aussi bons souvenirs de votre séjour dans le gîte de Lauzanac.

Très agréable séjour en famille

La propriété et ses environs se prêtaient parfaitement à notre séjour en Dordogne avec nos 3 enfants et nos amis de passage. Les animaux de la ferme sont un véritable atout pour occuper utilement les enfants qui se prennent d'affection pour chacun d'eux - les parents aussi :) Mais par dessus tout, les propriétaires, Isabelle et Thierry Janssen, contribuent par leur sympathie et disponibilité à rendre le séjour des plus agréables. Wonderful

This was the nicest, most well appointed gite I have stayed in. A beautiful location, views, birds, peaceful, spacious, comfortable. Isabelle and Thierry were fantastic hosts. And Choupinette, the goats and piggy provided great local recycling for unwanted food items. Local markets were a great for all of the family and good to eat at the night market in Eymet close by. I would not hesitate to recommend Le Pigeonnier at Lauzanac. Thank you so much.

très bien!

Nous avons trouvé facilement le gîte car nous avions de bonnes indications.Pour nous c'est la plus belle location que nous avons faite.Les enfants ont profité de la piscine, des animaux et de la table de ping pong. Nous avons fait de belles visites(sarlat, bergerac, montbazillac). Je recommanderais ce gîte sans hésitation car de plus les propriétaires sont des gens agréables.

Excellent stay and very friendly owners

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Lauzanac. The house was lovely and very well equipped. We did not want for anything during our stay. The location was perfect just a few minute’s drive outside Eymet. We have two little boys and they loved the animals on the farm, feeding them and petting them. The swing in the garden was also a huge winner with our two little boys. Isabelle and Thierry were fantastic, very friendly and very helpful. I would happily recommend a stay Lauzanac and more than happy to go back there again.

"A fantastic location. We...

"A fantastic location. We loved the animals,especially the donkeys and the adorable farm dog! The patio and it''s rural view were the perfect place to relax and when it got cold in the evening, we closed the shutters and lit the log burning stove. It was too cold to use the swimming pool, but it was clearly well maintained and I would have been tempted, even in April, if the weather had been a bit warmer! The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. The accomodation was very comfortable, with plenty of towels and bedding. The heating worked well and the house was warm. As my parents are elderly, the only slight difficulty was the spiral staircase up to the main bedroom. On the other hand, it was very convenient to have a bathroom right next to the bedroom. Wonderful bastide towns/markets/resaurants to visit within easy driving distance. Lots of tourist info available in the house. We would particularly recommend the Etappe Gasconne restauant at Allemans du Dropt. Don''t miss the frescoes in the nearby church if you go there! Duras castle is also well woth a visit. There.s also a good walk from the house up to and around a reservoir. It was helpful and reassuring to have the owners living on the farm. They were very welcoming and friendly. Ideal for children, with stair gates, fenced off garden and pool. I would recommend it to anyone and we''d definitely go back!"

"le beau temps n'étant pas vraiement au rendez vous nous avons pu apprécier l'espace très agréable du gîte où tout le monde a pu vivre largement. nous avons bien utilisé la cheminée et ce fut un vrai Noël au coin du feu. accueil très très chaleureux également des propriétaires et les enfants étaient ravis de voir les animaux de la ferme.très bon séjour."
