Prime location. Excellent spacious mini studio suites each with their own bedroom, bathroom, and shower. You enter the main entrance from the apartment corridor, but it is split into 3 separate areas. Cold air conditioners in each section was great for August, kitchenette in 2 of the rooms. Pierfranco was an excellent host, good instructions with self check-in/checkout, arranged shuttle service, and was very quick to respond with any questions. Café, grocery store, and restaurants right outside the apartment. Front room on main street was a little noisy at night as others stated, but did not affect my stay. 10/10. Highly recommend
Owner was great! I lost my purse - left it in the taxi - and didn't realize it the taxi had dropped us off. The owner helped us translate our problem to the doorman who received a call from the cab driver and everything worked out, to my great relief. Aside from that, the owner was very friendly and answered my questions quickly. The property itself is in a great location and was very clean. We have a family of five and there was plenty of room - the property is almost like 3 apartments in one. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Rome.
To say we enjoyed our stay here is an understatement. From the communication from Pierfranco (which was fantastic), to the location and size of the apartment...it was in a word, incredible. Clean, with huge bedrooms and bathrooms, including 2 kitchens. Our family of 6 had more than enough room and enjoyed the apartment fully. This place is only 3 mintues from the Pantheon and more restaurants than you could ever eat at. We loved the location, the fact there was a grocery store across the small street and a wonderful Caffe just steps from the door that you can get espresso and pastries in the morning. Well done Pierfranco...you made our Rome stay a wonderful experience. Grazie Mille, Ciao!
First the good- location is an easy walk to so many sites, eateries, grocery, shopping. The flat is on the 4th floor and has a lift (size of a phone both) for those who need help with luggage. The flat itself is beautiful with three beds and three baths. Wonderful for families or friends who prefer having their own space. Beds are comfortable as well.
Things to be prepared for:
There is no group lounge area. One bedroom shares space with the dining table which is the only place you can sit together.
There are NO amenities. Other than a tiny bar of soap and tiny bottle of shampoo for each guest. No kitchen towels (whenI asked where they were I was told to go buy one at the nearby store) no coffee maker (other than a stovetop espresso maker which doesn’t accommodate the number of guests this property rents to), no paper towels, no toilet paper other than what’s left on the rolls in the bathrooms (not even new rolls) no washing machine soap, and no dish soap (other than what’s left under the sink which would not have lasted had we spent more than 2 days there).
the freezer in the main kitchen was so full of frost and ice you couldn’t fit anything in it. The gas to the stove was off we had to figure out how to turn on water to laundry was off had to figure that out as well. No in-person check in to walk us through the property either. It’s lovely but too expensive for what you (don’t) get.
Roomy and nicely appointed apartment in the heart of Rome
The apartment is as pictured and is kept clean. It is close to all the main tourist spots such as the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navona. The Colosseum is maybe 25 min walk away and the Vatican is maybe 30-35 min away. However, if you are traveling with someone with mobility issues then just be aware the elevator only fits a max of 3 people and does not stop on the floor of the apartment. You will either walk up or down 12 stairs to get to the apartment from the elevator. We enjoyed our stay at Casa Minerva and it worked great for us. Having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was very nice. There is some street noise but not too much of an issue. Light sleepers should just not pick the bedroom with the couch and dining table as it gets the most street noise. Pierfranco was a good host and responded to queries quickly. Just an FYI to tourists be careful if you are relying on taxi's to get to your points of interest. They can be difficult to get and sometimes they will not travel to certain parts of the city because of green zones or if there is a service at St. Peter's. We missed a couple of tours because of this. If you walk everywhere you will be fine. Also, if you arrange transport with Pierfranco to the airport it is convenient as i said taxi's are sometimes hard to come by. When we arrived it took 45 min in line to get a taxi. When we left we had Pierfranco arrange transport. Uber and ready now are not reliable.
The location can’t be beat. Walking distance to everything, but on a quiet street off the beaten path. The apartment is so unique, with gorgeous ceilings, stunning details, and ample space. With 3 full bathrooms, it’s really great for larger groups and families.Pierfranco was great with communication. The only wish I have is the beds. They are pretty stiff and we had a hard time sleeping. Also, a dresser would be nice, as I like to unpack vs living out of a suitcase. But that is totally a personal preference. Overall, a great space to stay while visiting Rome. You are steps from the Pantheon, and we were able to walk to all of the other major sites.
Best location for first time Rome travelers with 18, 18, and 21 year old kids. Everything was walkable. Grocery store and cafe for breakfast super close. A/C was great to have during the the heat wave. Great host!
Perfect location. Extremely roomy apartments. After a 9 hour flight together, we needed some space! Love this set up!Hosts are so sweet and arranged airport pick up for us and meet us at the front door. Definitely stay her if you are coming to Rome
This apartment was really like having three separate efficiencies in one. It was a spacious location, with each bedroom having its own bathroom. Our booking was clean and centrally located in Rome within a short walk to the Pantheon. There was a convenience store (market) within 100 feet of the main entrance. The only caution is regarding the elevator. This flat is located on the 3rd floor and the elevator is literally the size of a Tardis (telephone booth. No, it is NOT bigger on the inside). There is only room for one American with a large suitcase. If claustrophobic, or larger in size, be prepared to haul your luggage up 2 1/2 landings. Overall, the flat and location are perfect. Check-in and checkout were simple and communication with the host was very good through WhatsApp and/or Email. The area was very safe with secured entrances on the main level during off-hours. We woud stay here again.
The apartment is located in an incredibly convenient area of Rome, with all of the major tourist locations within walking distance. There is also a restaurant that is very popular with locals and a grocery store steps from the apartment. The host was very communicative and helpful. Note that internet service in the apartment is spotty, so be prepared for that.
We stayed here between Christmas and New Years. We were very comfortable as a family of five staying here. The owner was so helpful and responsive. He even set up our ride to and from the airport. Check in was so easy. We even got to meet him while we were there. Very spacious place and we loved the charm of the older building . Great location to a small market for food right outside this apartment. We also walked a lot of places from here and sometimes took transportation to things that weren’t as close. I would stay here again.
Had a great stay in Rome. This property is in the perfect location. Just minutes to pantheon, trevi fountain, coliseum, nearly everything. Vatican is a quick bus ride or taxi. Lots of room, great air conditioning. Highly recommend!
The apartment was perfect for our extended family group- everyone had their own spacious suite. Pierfranco is super responsive and we were grateful for the airport transfers. We walked to everything except the Vatican, which was a simple direct bus ride, and we ate at the lovely restaurant downstairs (Enoteca Corsi) for a couple simple and tasty meals. We'd definitely stay again.
Great location and apartment is spacious and has all the essentials. It is 3 separate spaces with doors off a main corridor. Each has separate AC controls and bathrooms/kitchenettes.
One caution: apt is on third floor. Never found elevator. I am sure it is there but have been told it can only take 1 person at a time and is old.
Building is older and far from perfect. But the apartment is fine and you can’t beat location.
Taxi is available a few blocks away. Small coffee cafe proved useful on the same street.
My family and I had a wonderful time in Rome, thanks to this beautiful home. After spending all day walking around it was nice to come back to a cozy space where we can sit, eat, and relax.
