Placed centrally in the heart of Florence, this former 13th century old apartment building Have Been Restored on 2015. The apartment with a naturally beautiful and warm wooden floor, have been designed and furnished by craftsmen.

The large master bedroom, equipped with a wall closet, double-glazed windows with shutters and blackout, king size bed with organic mattresses made from natural latex and the finest linen, will ensure a silent and perfect night's sleep. The murphy bed, and the daybed in the living room is perfect for a guest.
There are two full bathrooms fitted with rain showers.
The apartment is outfitted with a complete kitchen, where con be hosted dinner parties for up to eight people with everything you need to prepare and serve a fine meal. With both a full-sized oven and a dishwasher, entertaining is a breeze.

This apartment was truly wonderful and offered an unforgettable Firenze experience! I stayed for over a month and couldn't have been happier with the place; it immediately makes you feel at home.The space was fantastic and bright: it featured a spacious living room with a comfortable dining table and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. It also had a large, peaceful bedroom, and a fully stocked kitchen. The property is located near the Jewish synagog and was quiet except for the last night. Who knew the Italians were so into celebrating Halloween?!!! The location was walking distance to most things we wanted to do and there is a good restaurant next door and a supermarket a couple blocks away…and the farmers market!

A cut above

This property was perfect for my last ten days in Italy. Plenty of space, thoughtfully decorated, well-stocked, comfortable bed, good shower, quiet, and not too far from the city center. None of the problems you often get with Italian properties in historic cities. Owner is excellent at communication and a good human to boot. Highly recommend.

The city is magnificent but the heat this year and the crowds were unbearable. The city is not that clean and garbage can be seen on the streets. But Florence is a beautiful city but the incredible number of visitors made it difficult to enjoy the city. Our apartment was adequate and our host was extremely helpful.

Well Appointed Apartment In a Great Location

My wife and I spent 11 days at Paolo's tastefully decorated apartment. Interesting art work on the walls with books and maps on the shelves. After a day of seeing the sights it was always a welcoming place to come "home" to. Paolo is a first class gentleman and host. Excellent communication (Paolo speaks very good English) from the booking onward. He met us at the airport and gave us a tour of the neighborhood where the apartment is located. He contacted us by text several times to make sure our apartment stay was going smoothly. Major museums are all within walking distance and the train station is about a 20 - 25 minute walk. Apartment has suitable heating system and a good on-demand water heater. Plenty of bed and bath linens. The kitchen and dinning room have all the utensils and dining ware one could need. The only caveat is it a three story walk-up. If you have difficultly with stairs, it could be problematic. Otherwise, I wholeheartedly recommend staying a Paolo's apartment. For a couple, it is perfect in size. I wish my bed at home was as firm and as comfortable. The apartment really made the stay in a wonderful city that much more memorable.

We were very pleased with our stay in most ways. Paulo is the most helpful host we have encountered. Beautiful apartment fully equipped for our stay. It should be noted there are 44 steep steps up to the apartment. At times a tiny bit noisy. Overall a great stay in Florence.

Perfect location perfect host!

The apartment was very spacious and clean. Paolo had everything you would ever need in the kitchen, bathroom and even a large dish of candies. The refrigerator was stocked with yogurt and other items. All spices and olive all etc for cooking. Coffee tea and packaged pastries for breakfast. You can easily walk to most points of interest and good restaurants. But the best part was Paolo. He spent so much time with us helping us book the rest of our trip taking us around the neighborhood to point out where we should visit or eat. He even drove us to the train station. I feel like we made a good friend. He is wonderful. You will definitely enjoy your stay. Best host ever.

Florence Getaway

A most amazing stay! Paolo was an amazing host who went above and beyond to make us comfortable - even finding us inexpensive parking and picking us up there to take us to the apartment and then dropping us back there on our final day. The apartment is so conveniently located with a fabulous farmer’s market 2 blocks away where you can have amazing cappuccino every morning for less than 2 euros. There is also a Conrad’s grocery store around the corner which has everything you could possibly need. The apartment has every essential you could need from cooking utensils to an iron and ironing board. It is literally a less than 10 minute walk to the Duomo and area, but also convenient to the Arno for a great walk along the river. This is a great place to stay.

Wonderful place to stay

If you want a lovely place to stay in Florence then this is the place to choose. The apartment is large and well set up. Clean and very comfortable. Paolo is an excellent host and took me to lunch explained the neighbourhood and later checked everything was okay and took me to have the best gelato I have ever eaten. Truely this was a wonderful place to stay, and where I will come back to the next time I am in Florence!

We had a great time at Paolo's apartment. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I found that previous reviewers were not exaggerating when they praised Paolo's hospitality. He had fresh fruit, prosciutto, eggs, beer, chocolates left for us when we arrived. He checked in to see how we were doing and offered to take us out for gelato and coffee. (we were too busy). On the day of our departure he drove us to the station and got us into the VIP lounge. In 3 trips to Italy and 10 or 12 different accommodations he was by far the best host. Would definitely stay here again.

Paolo is a superb host. He received us personally at the apartment and checked in regularly by phone to make sure we were satisfied with everything during our month stay. Apartment is very quiet but close to the Duomo (8 minute walk) and to a large Conad supermarket (4 minute walk). Kitchen pantry was totally stocked making the need to visit Conad unnecessary for a short stay. Many fans and two air conditioning units kept us cool during the unusually hot month. Bed very comfortable.Thank you Paolo.

Wonderfull home in Florence!

The apartment was our lucky finding in VRBO. My wife and I stayed there for 6 day and we had a wonderful time! The apartment is warm, cozy and spacious, beautifully decorated, perfectly located in the center of the town, but very quiet. Property owner Paolo is a wonderful person. He met us in airport and gave a wonderful tour around neighborhood, provided on arrival with a big basket full of fresh fruits and very useful recomendations. It did'n feel like staying in rental apartment - it was like visiting old good friend! This is truly the best place to stay in Florence! Thank you, Paolo!

Very comfortable stay

Our week long stay was wonderful. In addition to being a well stocked apartment, everything worked, including the air conditioning which can be an iffy proposition at some locations we have stayed at. What was probably the best feature of the rental, is Paolo - the property owner. He was there to receive us and walked us round the neighborhood to point out restaurants, shopping and how to get to the various sites in Florence. On the last day, he dropped us off at our next destination. Unlike other property owners, Paolo checked in by text to make sure we were comfortable and to ask us if we needed anything - he even checked to make sure we had made it back home safely! I would definitely stay here again.

BEWARE OF UTILITIES FEE CHARGED UPON CHECK OUT PAYABLE IN CASH!

The evening before check out, the owner Paolo telephoned to check when we were leaving the next day and offered to take us to the train station. I accepted his gracious offer. Much to my surprise the next morning as we were leaving, the owner, Paolo, told me we had to pay utilities based on the meter reading. The total due was 63 Euros, which I did not have enough cash to pay, so he accepted 50 Euros. I kept insisting this utility fee was not in the property description and he kept insisting it was and not his problem if I could not see it. I should have called VRBO’s 1-800 number immediately, but we were in a hurry to catch a train. This payment was certainly not expected and I feel it should have been described in the property description if he meant to charge this. I also feel if it were to be charged we should have seen the meter reading upon check in, the reading upon check out, and the rate per kilowatt hour. In addition, 63 Euros seems quite high for the time we stayed in the apartment considering we were only using it at night and early morning. I think it would be best to up the daily rate and this way the traveler knows exactly what the price is and pays it upfront with a credit card. As far as the apartment, it is very spacious and very well appointed. Many past travelers mention the stairs, but I do not think this should deter anyone from this property. The appliances work very well (washing machine, TV, WiFi). There are two bathrooms. They have small showers, but this is typical for Italy. The bed was a bit hard for me, but this is a personal taste, probably fine for most people. I suggest bringing a white noise machine for sleeping because the bedroom faces the street. Despite the great sound insulating windows you can still hear cars and motorcycles at night. This is something you will find in most places unless your bedroom faces an inner courtyard. The location of the apartment turned out to be a bit further from the city center than I would have liked, but keep in mind this is reflected in the price. A place closer to the city center would probably have been more expensive. My great disappointment with this property is unexpectedly having to pay utilities at an unknown rate upon checkout. If it is not listed in the property description, the owner should not be charging this fee. I telephoned VRBO upon returning home and they said I should not have paid and should have called their 1-800 number available 24 hours. Good advise.

Paolo was the best!!!! Super Friendly and accommodating!!!! I felt like we were welcomed home after being out of town for too long. The place is wonderful and cozy and has all the amenities you could need to be comfy!!! The fridge was stocked. The bookshelves were filled with awesome things to read :) Ideal location right in the center of Florence and just far enough away from the tourist center to make you feel like a local :) I would love to return and stay here longer
