A few steps from the beautiful Santa Croce square, this delicious and bright attic placed at the second floor without elevator, 50 square meters, consists of a large living area equipped with a very comfortable queen sofa bed (14 cm thick mattress, 160 cm wide and 195 cm long) with brand new kitchenette and the upper level large queen bedroom (21 cm thick mattress, 170 cm wide and 200 cm long), modern bathroom with tub/shower and window.
Stable and high speed (up to one gigabit in download) FTTH Wi-Fi, flat TV equipped with Chromecast to cast on the wide screen from your devices, and tasteful decoration to make our guest fully enjoy a stay in the Bohémienne Florentine penthouse to live Florence from a vantage point in its very center.
All comforts such as air conditioning, dishwasher, washing machine + dryer, luxurious shower..

This is the third and last floor of a tower house from the XV century, completely renovated, in the very centre of Florence, at walking distance from all major attractions.
Then, at no more than 10 minutes walk you can get to Piazza Santa Croce and Mercato dei Ciompi are just a couple of minutes walk, Duomo, Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria (together with Palazzo Vecchio), Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti...
The area is full of good restaurants, pubs, wine bars, traditional ice cream laboratories, nearby grocery stores, shops in general.
At nigh the apartment is quite and the very comfortable mattresses of the bed and the sofa bed, together with screens at the windows or dark thick curtains, will let you enjoy a pleasant sleep.
From the windows you can see the typical road downstairs, Santa Croce in the background, and a wide and bright private court over the typical red Florentine roofs.
The kitchen is fully equipped, modern and new.
Air conditioning will refresh the whole Attic in a few minutes, in case of a warm day. And in case of a cold day, the heating is on to keep warm the area.
The bathroom is equipped with a tub that can be used as a shower for pampered thanks to the double water jet: the standard shower and the large shower pan.

An extremely clean, comfortable apartment in a great location. Lorenzo is a great host, very responsive and helpful - gave awesome restaurant and touring recommendations! I Love Firenze!

My wife, adult daughter and I spent 3 nights here and loved it. Great location as it was close to everything but not in the busiest of areas. It was clean, check in was easy and we felt like "locals" for a few days. I definitely give it 5 stars, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind. There is no elevator and if you have a lot of luggage or have trouble with stairs this is not the place for you. Also, not appropriate for young children because of the spiral stairs to the loft.

Perfect place next door to Santa Croce

We stayed at this place for four nights in April 2023. This is a perfect place next door to Santa Croce. You found yourself on a top floor suraunding by locals, who live in the same building. We liked that. We visited Santa Croce. Recommended. Grocery store is 5-7 minutes to walk. Taxi stop is across the Santa Croce. 12-15 minutes to walk to Academy Gallery and Uffizi. Be ready to reach the apartment by stairs with about 45 steps.

Great location and helpful host!

We had a wonderful stay in the penthouse (which is really an attic apartment). It was great to have a king size bed which is not always so easy to find in Italy. The bed was also very comfortable. We had been to Florence 16 years ago at which time we had a really memorable meal at a small Osteria that had just been open for 2 years. On this return trip we wanted to return to the restaurant, but now 16 years later, they have become a very highly rated restaurant which makes getting a reservation at one of their 9 tables much more difficult. We asked Lorenzo, our host, for assistance, and I am happy to report that he went above and beyond tapping his network of hospitality connections to successfully secure us reservation. Our meal and experience at the restaurant fully lived up to our expectations and was our best of our trip. Lorenzo also provided a helpful list of recommendations for nearby shops and restaurants.

Our time in Florence as comfortable bohemians

We were charmed by our entire experience in Florence, not least by our perfect home base. The location was terrific; nor did we lack for a single amenity. The apartment captures a perfect balance between character and utility; futhermore, it is well kept. Lorenzo is a very gracious host who makes himself available when you need him, and makes himself scarce when you don't. His suggested list of restaurants, etc. was exactly like his place - tasteful without stuffiness. Very much hope to return.

Fantastic- would book again!

Lorenzo's cozy penthouse was a fantastic home for me during my two weeks in Florence while on a research trip. The location was great- for me, only a few minutes to the state archives where I was conducting research, but also right next to Santa Croce and the centro storico. It was warm, cozy, and very comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen, luxurious bathroom, and very high-tech TV. My only recommendation would be that you bring earplugs for sleeping as the nearby Via Ghibellina can get rather boisterous on weekend nights. The apartment is indeed a penthouse, so if stairs are a concern for you, do not book this place. For me, that was not a problem at all, and I plan to book this apartment when I am in Florence again.

Une semaine à Florence prÚs de Sta Croce. L'appartement est trÚs bien situé, proche de tout (monuments, musées et supérette à 3 minutes à pieds). Je recommande cette location. Nous avons pu préparer notre voyage grùce aux différents messages échangés avec Lorenzo, qui est toujours disponible et trÚs prévenant. A fun, centralized location for my stat.

Lorenzo, the property owner, went above and beyond to make sure things went well for me. His network of support friends were delightful as well. Location was perfect for my needs. An open, lighter, more upbeat ambience pervades this loft apartment. There are stairs to climb to get up to your door and then, once you get in, you have a few more. To get to bedroom loft there are a few winding stairs, as well. Comfortable bed. Clean sheets and seemed like a new comforter, as it was so white. A place that quickly provides you with a sense of home.

Great location, enjoyed our stay.

This is a nice and updated apartment. Lorenzo and Mario were easy to communicate with so check in was easy. Apartment was clean and in a great location with restaurants, grocery stores nearby. We appreciated the air conditioning as it was very warm in Florence when we visited. Santa Croce Cathedral just down the street. As pictured there are steps to navigate so anyone with limited mobility could have a problem but we were fine with it.

One of our favorite rentals in 25 years of vacation rentals.

The place is a nice as the pictures show it to be....even more so because many small details can't be seen in the pictures. I thought for sure that it was done by an interior designer but it turned out it was done by an owner with nice taste and an attention to detail. Often when renting, there always seem to be something missing. Not with this place. We love to cook and the kitchen was very well equipped and lacked nothing. The proximity to the very nice and small scale Sant'Ambrogio market made shopping and cooking very enjoyable. I would urge any visitor to explore the Sant"Ambrogio area for a nice slice of local life and a respite from the main tourist site areas. Although we have visited Florence many times, this was our first time in the Santa Croce neighborhood and we will never stay anywhere else again. The place is about a 15 minute walk to all the major sights without the throngs of people. The neighborhood is full of nice smaller authentic small restaurants and cafes. Check-in and dealing with the owner could not have been easier and he was very responsive to our every request we had, This will surely be our home away from home in Florence every time we return

Can’t say enough good things about this spacious place. It’s in a great location! Santa Croce is at the end of the block along with some great spots to eat. The Uffizi Gallery is a slow 10 minute walk. Mario, our contact was fantastic in lending information about all the local spots and even traveling south towards Sienna. Checking in was simple and check out was easier. Fantastic place to stay in a fantastic city, thank you Mario for all your help!!

In diesem Appartment im Viertel San Croce fĂŒhlt man sich wirklich zu Hause. Alles,alles ist fußlĂ€ufig zu erreichen. Alle SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten und direkt in der Nachbarschaft hervorragende Lokale,in denen man ohne arm zu werden ,köstlich essen kann. Die Wohnung ist genauso gemĂŒtlich eingerichtet,wie man auf den Bildern sieht. Das Bett ist komfortabel und es gibt eine richtige,leichte und doch warme Bettdecke. Die Heizung war von mir regulierbar und es war abends kuschelig,im Januar ist das auch wichtig! Lorenzo ist ausgesprochen nett und hilfsbereit und er spricht fließend englisch. Da mein Flugzeug erst spĂ€ter ging, war es auch kein Problem spĂ€ter auszuchecken. Alles in allem nur wĂ€rmstens empfehlenswert! Ciao,grazie Lorenzo Sabine

Lovely and fine, in the very centre by Santa Croce, quiet, comfortable and well equipped

Our stay at Bohémienne Penthouse has been great. Inside the apartment all is new, furnishing has taste, mattresses are very comfortable and the bathroom is excellent with its super neat "double" shower. Wifi works great, also to see movies. We loved the opportunity to cast contents on the TV through Google Chromecast. This apartment is a few steps from Piazza Santa Croce (can see the church from a window), at walking distance from major attractions in Florence and Lorenzo gave us a long list (with links to Google Map) of great restaurants where to eat. There are two Conad grocery stores nearby, where you can find everything you need. The stairs are ok. Even if near the most lively nightlife in Florence, the place is very quiet and is great for a good sleep. We will be back here for sure!

My comfy stylish nest in the heart of Florence

This apartment is beautiful!! ... Lorenzo is very friendly, gave me clear and easy directions to get to the apartment and the location is perfect ... next to Piazza Santa Croce, but altheway very quiet & peaceful. The apartment has a great two floor layout. The living room / kitchen area is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable, the shower great, with constant hot water and pressure. All the white goods were brand new and simple to work. Modern flat screen tv equipped with Chromecast, so you can get wifi on a screen (I just logged into my netflix account to watch tv on my downtime spent at the apt). The neighborhood was amazing- such an easy walk to all the wonderful sites in Florence & surrounded by so many good restaurants and bars.
