Very comfortable and serene
Above and beyond expectations. This Vrbo had the best mattress we have ever slept on. A key factor when traveling and trying to get rest. The separate sitting room with sleeper sofa allowed the late night person and the early riser to do thier own thing (TV, computer, make coffee) without disturbing the other. Rural location was far enough out to be peaceful, yet close to amemities and other local activities. The only trivial item was the sink has no surface area to balance a hygiene/toiletry bag. Would have been nice to have a smaĺl table next to the sink. Highly recommend when visiting Lancaster County!

About the host

Hosted by Connie Kauffman

Host profile image
I grew up in Strasburg and lived there until I married. My family still lives there and even when I moved away, Strasburg was always 'going home' for me. In 2014 my husband and I were able to purchase a Strasburg property and are enjoying the vacation rental business since our 3 children are now grown.

Why they chose this property

When I moved to Strasburg in my early teens, I began to love its charm. It is surrounded by farms, rolling hills, and the beauty of nature. As I grew older and moved away I began to appreciate this little town more than ever and it was my dream and desire to move back. In 2014, that dream became a reality that I would like to share.

What makes this property unique

This property is bordered by a horse pasture, an Amish house and farm, meadow, Little Beaver Creek, and woods. The rural surroundings include farm animals (chickens, cows, mules, and horses) and farmland. There are a variety of restaurants and coffee shops in the area, tourist attractions, scooter rentals, outlets for shopping, and tennis and basketball courts. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. Strasburg has a rich history and more 18th century homes than Colonial Williamsburg.
