About this property

Four seasons of fun! Beach days, campfires, snowmobile, snowshoe, x-country ski

This is a 1 bedroom fully furnished upper level apartment with an extra loft area bedroom above the main living area, the carriage house sleeps up to 4 people. This space is very cozy and small (20X30ft). It is off the sandy shores of Lake Superior (approximately 250 ft. from the water), which has incredible sunsets. There is air conditioning and wi-fi for your pleasure during your stay, however we do not have cable tv. We have a slow recovering well on and old salt aquifer that has some tannins in it so we ask that you use the water consciously. For your drinking and cooking we offer a 5 gallon water cooler. There is a grill and fire pit to use when the beach is too windy for fires. This is a family friendly place to stay, most dogs are welcome with permission however we do charge a non refundable $75 fee per dog (no more than two dogs at a time.) We are located on the main snowmobile trial network in the U.P. so you can park and ride right from here! We have a few backcountry ski trails right on our property so bring your skis or snowshoes! Located 7 miles east of Harvey, 12 miles east of marquette and 29 miles west of munising. The U.P. is known for snowmobile and Skiing fun! We are about 15 miles from Marquette Mountain ski hill. There are miles upon miles of mountain biking and hiking trails just outside this wonderful spot. Come stay here for your next adventure!!

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Please when you check out if you could leave the carriage house in good condition. I don’t expect it to be perfectly clean, just treat it with care. (we have had a few slobs in the past)
Wash your dishes. Empty the coffee grounds out of the coffee pot, and take out your garbage and bring it down to the cans under the deck.
I take care of stripping the beds. Leave used towels and washcloths in the shower.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Ask if you have any extra guests. It’s tight with 6 adults but it’s easy to add an air mattress to the loft for perhaps another one or two travelers.
4 night minimum stay

About the host

Host profile image
I was born and raised in Marquette, MI here on this property. I am a licensed hairdresser, licensed Massage therapist and certified Yoga teacher through yoga alliance. Growing up our house was a bed & breakfast, so I "learned the ropes" from my mom. This is a great place to stay if you are looking to engulf yourself in peace and beauty, somewhat disconnecting from our normal everyday busy lives. Our paradise is too magical not to share with the world.

Why they chose this property

Just off the shore of Lake Superior, miles of sandy beach, stargazing, campfires & swimming!! Located on the snowmobile trail, back country cross country skiing, fall colors, the perfect peaceful get-a-way!

What makes this property unique

Located on the main Snowmobile trail network in the U.P. The carriage house is quaint, the perfect getaway, miles of sandy beach to walk and enjoy. A wonderful place to base your U.P. adventure. We live on the property between the carriage house and the lake so if you need anything during your stay we are just next door!
