Black Bear is a 2-bedroom log cabin located in Gatlinburg (quick, easy access- only 5 minutes from downtown) with clubhouse and seasonal swimming pool access. Located in Black Bear Falls Resort, Black Bear sits in a gorgeous wooded setting with terrific mountain views. The cabin has two king size beds along with a queen size sofa sleeper which combined can sleep up to six guests. Each bedroom has a private bathroom. The cabin also includes a fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer combo, and a hot tub on the deck. The level driveway will accommodate 2-3 cars and there is only 1 step to enter the cabin. Black Bear's location is convenient to Food City (grocery store), Arts and Craft Community, and Pigeon Forge (including easy access to the back roads for the peak seasons). This close location sets guests close to everything making Black Bear great for a romantic getaway or family vacation.

Please note Black Bear is a NON-SMOKING AND NO PET cabin, strictly enforced.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Checkout is 10 A.M. In Winter: please put thermostat back to 65, (it should be "heat" & "auto") In Summer: please put thermostat up to 78, (it should be "cool" & "auto")
Clean & put away all dishes. (to save time run the dishwasher the night before) Remove all trash to outside bear-proof container. (don't forget to empty the refrigerator/freezer)
Put all dirty/wet towels in nearest tub. Make sure the hot tub temperature is lowered to 100 and the cover is on and secure. Check for personal items in washer/dryer. Lock the door. Thank you

Great cabin. Spent 4 days in the area exploring the park and Gatlinburg. We really liked the park (GSMNP) but could have done without the amount of people in Gatlinburg. Overall, good location tucked away for the Parkway.

We had a wonderful stay at Blackbear Cabin. The cabin was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable throughout our visit. This cabin was sufficient for our needs, and overall we had a good stay. The price was extremely reasonable, and the location was very convenient, which would make us consider booking again. There were a few things we wish had been provided, such as cooking spray and fuller salt and pepper containers. We unfortunately ran out of salt while making dinner. We also wish there had been a light near the hot tub, as it was too dark on the porch at night and we didn’t end up spending much time there after sunset. The cabin itself was generally clean, although we did have a few cockroach sightings throughout our stay. Thankfully, all but one were already dead, so we assumed they may have gotten in while the cabin was being cleaned or prepared before our arrival. There also wasn’t a smart TV, but that wasn’t a major issue for us since we were able to use an iPad when needed. The host was responsive to the questions we had prior to our arrival, and overall, we enjoyed our stay.

So glad you enjoyed your stay and may become one of our many repeat guests. In our listing we describe our kitchen as being supplied with all equipment needed for cooking, but we do not provide ingredients. The TVs are described in our listing as being flat screens with Spectrum cable which includes HBO, Cinemax, and Showtime plus On Demand features. We have a light on the back deck which should provide sufficient light; it was working with our last guest. We will double check to make sure the light bulb is still working, and if not, we will replace it immediately. Our cabin is located in a wooden setting and it is possible that the occasional wood roach could enter the cabin. We are so thankful our pest control company does such a great job. We have lived in different parts of the United States and feel there is no place that matches the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.

What makes this property unique

Black Bear Falls Resort kept the natural beauty and added ponds and cascading waterfalls. While our kids have enjoyed swimming in the pool, one of their most favorite activities is feeding the fish and ducks. Our whole family enjoys walking around the community keeping track of all the wildlife we see.
