Thank you, Pamela, for your kind words. Rick and I hope you will plan on coming back again! Your Monday evening kayak trip along the shoreline was perfectly timed with the river mirror slick.
It was our third time staying at Mariner’s Legacy and every time we leave we can’t wait to come back. It’s a wonderful place to stay with the best hosts! You won’t be disappointed!
This property was by far the best place we have rented. It has everything you can need and the home is beautiful. The beach area is perfect for kids and dogs and we even caught a stingray from there too. There’s plenty of places to go nearby but honestly you won’t need to leave. And the beautiful porch allows for a lot of outdoor living. It was perfect.
This homeCouldn’t have been more close to perfect than it was! Everyone in our family thought it was amazing and we all had the best time and made those memories.
My family had a wonderful time at Mariner's Legacy. The house is lovely. The kitchen is modern and well outfitted. The wrap-around porch is fantastic for sitting and watching the water, wildlife and family. We were even treated to a very large pod of dolphins coming up the river. It's a lovely, private location for a family reunion. Danette and Rick were welcoming and helpful. We will be returning next year!

Thank you so much for choosing our family’s home for your family. The wrap around porch was a special place when I was growing up there. Cherish the wonderful memories ❤️
Looking forward to your family visiting next year!
Mariner’s legacy was provided a fantastic spot on the east river to enjoy a family weekend. We loved getting to take the kayaks out and also made good use of the fire pit!
The house was VERY clean. The sunrises over the waterway are absolutely breathtaking. I enjoyed sitting on the porch while reading my Bible and watching the birds scurry around. If you need to unplug, this is a great place to do just that.
The private location and waterfront vistas are a big plus. Families can fish, kayak and enjoy swimming from a sandy beach. We saw eagles, ospreys and a dolphin! The sunrises and sunsets are picture worthy! So restful-nature and amenities all in one!
Absolutely one of the best properties we have ever stayed on vacation. Danette and Rick were always prompt in responding to any questions we had during our stay. The home was beautiful and stocked just like your own home. The view from the porch was breathtaking. Loved the kayaks and paddleboat.
This is among if not the best rentals we have ever stayed at. The location is superb. The house is astonishingly well stocked. The hosts have thought of everything.
Completely stocked home for large groups!A Kitchen which rivals a professional. Well equipped for outside activities on land and the river. A very comfortable home to stay in.
Just absolutely incredible! I can’t say enough good things about this location, the house and Rick! He was so considerate, made sure we were welcomed, offered pointers on all the equipment and gave us a little insight to local history. The house was gorgeous, incredibly clean, so comfy and well organized. Every need was considered and thought out! The highlight of the stay was definitely the porch and proximity to the quiet, calm beach area. The kiddos loved being able to play in the water and the grown ups loved not having to tote all their toys and gear through miles of sand. The porch views were stunning! We saw herons and dolphins and were just delighted to watch the boats sailing by.The beds were so comfy, we loved the abundance of throw pillows and blankets scattered around to make relaxing even easier. We loved the board games and books that they had available to be enjoyed. The landscaping was dreamy—we were all in awe of the stunning hydrangeas. The double dishwashers and fridges were so helpful for large families. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked. All in all, we highly recommend!
If you're looking for a quiet secluded get away, this is your place. A short drive to Mathews for a great walk about town and Williamsburg within an hour. We loved the whole property and truly enjoyed our stay.
We have stayed at several VRBO properties and overall this home is one of the best. It was beautiful, clean, well stocked and had plenty of room! It was remote and private, yet close enough to drive to some of Virginia's best places to visit! Would visit again!!
