I knew it was going to be a great stay when I turned down the road and my child said "Mama... I'm getting really excited!" And covered her mouth, let out a shriek, and eyes sparkled.
We will remember our stay at Eight is Enough for the rest of our lives. It is where our 2.5 year old first rode in a canoe, singing "row, row, row, your boat...". It is where she caught her first fish (and was so concerned it was out of the water). It is where she and I shared a first- kayaks!
Our family of three enjoyed every moment possible. Keith and Heather have the camp neat, tidy, clean, and set up kid friendly (step stools and gates included!).
We are Maine locals, who coincidently live on a lake road, and hope to make this a summer occurrence. There is nothing like saying "good morning" and "good night" to a lake.
A couple of side notes: 1- The lakefront is rock, not sand, so leave the sand toys at home! It made me extremely nervous upon arrival but our toddler did fine! 2- Don't just bring one size sheets. You may find you like firmness of a different bed (so! Many choices!)!
