About this property
The Lakeside cabin, just steps from the lake, with dock and screened porch
The Lakeside cabin is an 820 sq. ft. cabin just steps from the lake with a kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a 165 sq. ft. screened porch. It has a dock and boat mooring. It's a perfect place for families to retreat together from the crowds and pressure of everyday life. The Lakeside Cabin sits on the waterfront in a grove of trees on a slight outcropping of land near the widest part of the lake, where the water deepens quickly (eventually reaching 114 feet) making it ideal for fishing and swimming. Lake Damariscotta is 1.5 miles across where the Lodge sits and 8 miles long. The buildings sit close to the water, offering beautiful views of the lake, the far shore, the loons and the stunning sunsets. Large lawns next to the water are great for games and the dock is ideal for swimming and boating.

About the host
Hosted by Victoria Leonard

We have been vacationing on Lake Damariscotta for 30 years and love Sunset Lodge. We like to share it with people who enjoy a family vacation on the water in a setting that hasn't changed in 90 years.
Why they chose this property
Built in 1919, Sunset Lodge was sited on one of the best points on the lake, with sunset views and deep water.
What makes this property unique
Listen to the loon calls, wake up to the lapping of the waves, eat breakfast on the screened porch looking at the water and swim off the dock which is just outside the front door. In the evening roast marshmallows in the outside fire pit and sing around the campfire.
