Such a beautiful property! Clean and comfortable with a Lovely view of the quiet Au Train river from the back yard, good access too with a paddle boat. The first floor “cave” room was a handy space to have; functional and a nice place to gather. Also, good water pressure in the upstairs shower. And it being pet friendly made our lives so much easier.

The lodge was great! Everything was clean and they had all of the kitchen supplies we needed for typical cooking. It was warmer upstairs compared to downstairs, but they had plenty of fans we could use. We brought our 3 kids ages 1, 3, and 6, and they had a baby gate to use for the stairs and a high chair which were both very convenient for us. Our 3 year old loved the tiny toddler bed. We all really enjoyed the canoe that was included with the stay. Just as a heads up for others with small kids—there were no infant life jackets for kids 30 lbs, no plastic plates/bowls/cups, and the kids bikes were for older kids. None of this was a big deal though. I’m pretty sure the coffee pot could only brew full pots, so bring K-cups if you think you might want a single cup of coffee at some point. The location is less than 5 minutes from a pizza and ice cream place that we thought was good and it is just a few minutes away from Au Train Beach. It’s 16 minutes from Munising. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Great spot!

We had a great time staying at this property! It was very clean and comfortable. Loved the proximity to AuTrain beach and the cute grocery store and ice cream/pizza place up the street!

Vacation in Au Train

The Reel Inn Lodge was a tranquil place to get away and enjoy peace and quite. We enjoyed the River and the location was in good vicinity of Munising and Marquette. Overall, the lodging met our needs as a family and we would entertain coming back as we were only able to scratch the surface of the UP.
