Newly opened home (April 2011) – Exceptionally located on the port, this beautiful individual house is only a few meters away from the sea. It has a large peaceful and half-covered sunny terrace which offers a unique open outlook.
« Le havre portais » is a luxury holiday house, convenient and comfortable that sleeps up to 5 people in 3 bedrooms. It is the perfect place for children and grown-ups, en famille or among friends, wanting to breathe in the sea air. From the house, you'll had a ringside seat to enjoy the magnificent view of the port, the fishing and sailing boats' traffic and the opposite banks full of shops and restaurants. A few meters away, the seafront appears on low tide to fishermen's' houses and to the Vauban tower.
Last house on Baron Gérard quay before the seafront, "le havre portais” will make you appreciate all year long the “outdoor-indoor” way of life on its south-west-facing terrace under the glass roof or under the awning. From all living rooms and bedrooms,

Most enjoyable stay in Port en Bessin

This is our second time staying here, and it was even better than the first time. There were two fantastic firework displays in the harbour area, one at the start and one at the end of our week here. Local restaurants all good, especially breakfasts. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here to anyone. James.

Great house in an amazing position for people watching and relaxing. The terrace gets the sun until the very end of day. Astrid our host was lovely and very helpful. Had some wonderful food in the port, lots of choice and a lovely mixed vibe. Just a sun parasol was missing. Didn’t want to leave!

This house is exactly as described. Great location for exploring DDay beaches and beyond. The house is generously supplied in the kitchen. Very modern appliances and furnishings. Astrid greets you, orients you and arrives for a fond farewell. This was the perfect place for me, my son and daughter-in-law on our visit to Normandy.

Lovely property with harbour views

Lovely views, conveniently placed for exploring the Normandy D day landing beaches. Near to restaurants and village shops. Local bakery is excellent just across the bridge. The house is fully equipped, the third bedroom is very small. We enjoyed our stay here immensely.

The perfect location for a holiday in Normandie

We had een fantastic holiday in Port-en-Bessin Huppain. Our hostess, Astrid, was very friendly and helpful. The house is wonderful and the view from the terrace is magnificent. Port-en-Bessin Huppain is a lovely and lively village with nice restaurants and boutiques. The boutique of Astrid, La Compagnie Ordinaire De La Mer, is a must visit!

View is excellent, lots of fun to watch boats travel the canal. House is very comfortable. Kitchen pots and pans should be updated but overall kitchen is well stocked . Bathrooms are spacious. It is a wonderful property, I highly recommend spending holiday there. Thank you Astrid and Jon Luc for a lovely stay and wonderful memories.

Perfect place to stay in Normandy

We spent a week here. We easily explored Omaha Beach, American cemetery, St Michel, St Malo, Honfleur, etc. It is perfect in every way. Great views of the port, you can walk right to all the restaurants, patisseries, boulangeries. The bedrooms are comfortable and having the extra 1/2 bath downstairs is a plus. The terrace is a gem. Amazing views and you can eat under the covered part even if it is cold or raining. Highly recommend. Communication was excellent.

Really lovely property in great location. Enjoyed sitting on terrace watching the boats come in and out. very close to local restaurants and shops. We got croissants from local bakery everyday for breakfast. In the evenings you can walk to harbour and watch the sunset or do some of the local walks. There is a local contact in case you have any problems. Well equipped, modern KitchenPhotos on website are a bit confusing, but there are 3 double bedrooms: 2 upstairs and one downstairs with ensuite bathroom (with flat floor shower). Plus separate WC downstairs and another bathroom upstairs. This was great for us, as one of our party has mobility issues so they could be based on one level with accessible bathroom. So great property if you are looking for disability access as we were.

Herzlicher und unkomplizierter Empfang, großes und sauberes Haus mit fantastischem Blick von der Terrasse oder dem Wintergarten über die Schleuse mit den ein- und ausfahrenden Fischerbooten. Zahlreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants direkt gegenüber auf der anderen Seite des Hafenbeckens. Sehr empfehlenswert !

Prachtige uitvalsbasis in gezellig dorp

Prachtige locatie met mooi zicht op de bedrijvigheden van de haven. Zéér lekkere sint-jacobsschelpen en oesters in de plaatselijke vismarkt. Praktisch ingericht huisje...de afsluitbare veranda is een pluspunt. Grootwarenhuis in directe nabijheid en klein supermarktje op wandelafstand. Ideale uitvalsbasis voor vele uitstappen naar landingsstranden en 1,5 u rijden naar Mont-Sint-Michel. Kortom: een absolute aanrader!
