About the host
Hosted by Liz
Located 2 miles from the centre of Bude, our farm is surrounded by over 300 acres of neighbouring grazing sheep.
The shepherds hut, together with spa hot tub, is set in a secluded space overlooking our meadow from which we make hay when the sun shines! The fields surrounding our meadow home the neighbouring grazing sheep and form part of your Cornish countryside view. You can even enjoy a view down to the Atlantic Ocean from the lucky seat in the hot tub! But the view from the other seat isn't too shabby, it's filled with Cornish countryside. Super sunsets are a treat to see wherever you're sitting.
Elsewhere on the farm we have a menagerie of animals including our ex-battery chickens who, whilst enjoying their life of freedom, will provide you with your breakfast eggs during your stay.
Our family connection to this farm started when a small boy was sent down to Cornwall to escape the bombing of London during World War 2. After spending a few years at boarding school in the West Country, a bond was formed and he returned after retiring from work in London. That boy is now 80 years old and shares this farm with his daughter, her husband and their two daughters, your hosts nearby, if you need them.

Why they chose this property
Our shepherd's hut is made in the West Country from steel and hard wood. It features double-glazing, underfloor heating, mains power and water, dimmable LED lights throughout and much more. The setting may be rural, but your comfort will not be compromised here.
The hut is a spacious 24ft by 9ft, with double doors opening onto the beautiful Cornish countryside. Everything has been finished to the highest standard with beautiful vintage styling. The hut includes all the features you would expect in a self catering cottage, including a wood burner and spa hot tub, more often than not, a stunning Cornish sunset.

What makes this property unique
The year round use of this shepherds hut really appealed to us, with the underfloor heating being a unique feature. You may have seen it at the Royal Cornwall Show last was THE show cabin! The separated bunks were also an added attraction and a fantastic idea from the more arguments over who's sleeping on the top! And a great use of space. The king size bed on the bottom surprisingly doesn't feel cramped and our child free couples have enjoyed the comfort and the extra storage space the bunks above provide.
